Royval is someone who has struggled with stopping takedowns and Taira is a high-level submission specialist so he should have a ton of chances. 

If he can’t get the submission Royval is going to be live to win a decision so I’m playing Taira by submission, but if I had to make a ML play it would be on Royval at the current odds.

 

 

 

Abdul Razak Alhassan ML: -162 Odds

Alhassan is the more well-rounded fighter, and he should be able to control where this fight takes place. 

Fremd missed weight by quite a bit so I’m a little concerned with that, but Razak has been five hard rounds before with someone as talented as Joakim Buckley, so I expect him to get it done here.

Longshot Bet: Morono By Submission +1200

Morono is going to be a step behind when he is on the feet, and D-Rod has been subbed by Neil Magny which says a lot about his grappling and takedown deficiency.

Morono rarely uses his submission skills, but this seems like a fight that would really benefit him from at least trying for the sub.
