UFC Fight Night Predictions & Picks: Saturday, October 18th

 

Hernandez vs. Pereira Best Bet: Hernandez by Submission +190

Hernandez has the clear advantage on the group, and while his wrestling may not be good enough to get Pereira down early I think he eventually wears him out and gets the fight down.  

Pereira is strong enough to muscle out of bad spots, but once we get to Rounds 3/4/5 I expect the explosiveness to be gone.

 

 

 

Charles Johnson + Asu Almabayev Parlay +105

Charles Johnson is going to be able to push a pace that I don’t think Sumudaerji is ready for which will eventually get him to fold.  

Asu is facing Nicolau who is very talented but lacks durability, eventually Asu will get the fight where he wants it on the ground and at that point Nicolau is going to be in trouble.

 

Longshot Bet: Pineda wins in R1 +410

Pineda is explosive, and Elkins has next to zero striking defense at this point in his career.  If Pineda doesn’t get it done early I won’t want anything to do with his money line so I’m taking a shot on him to get the early KO.
