NHL DFS Playbook: April 14

MacKinnon has seven goals in his last four games, and he will face a Devils team today that is giving up 4.57 goals per game over the last two weeks. On paper, matchups don't get much better than this.

The projections like Bergeron today, and it is easy to see why. He has three games where he has had five shots or more in his last five games, and he has points in three of his last four games as well.

Thomas extended his point streak to 10 games in his last game and a game against the Sabres is a solid recipe for extending his point streak.

With goals in four of his last five games, Horvat continues to be a strong option. Today, he will get to face a Coyotes team that is giving up a league-high 4.83 goals per game over the last two weeks.

Staal kept his hot streak going against the Rangers with another goal, and he will face a Detroit team that has been one of the worst defensive teams in the league this season.

Svechnikov has back-to-back multi-point games for the Hurricanes and he gets a nice matchup today against the Red Wings.

While you could certainly pay the higher price to get Rantanen, Burakovsky has been very productive at a much lower price.

Kessel is still capable of scoring goals, and he has had some high-shot volume nights recently. His inconsistency though keeps him as a GPP play though as he could also give you a zero.

Make it three points or more in three of Pettersson's last four games and he is back to being a player, at least for now, that should be considered on most nights.

Tkachuk now has five goals in his last four games, and he should be a solid play again tonight against Vegas.

It is hard to fathom that Meier hasn't scored in any of his last five games, but he does have three games with five shots or more. This is a good matchup against Chicago.

Robertson is a solid play at his price. He has two multi-point games in his last four games and he is a consistent threat to get points.

Dadonov has had points in three straight games, and has been getting nearly a point per game since the trade deadline fiasco.

Carlson has caught fire for the Capitals with seven points in his last four games.

We are going to go back to the well with Hanifin. He is still value-priced and he has seven points in his last three games.

Makar has six points in his last three games, and he has had three games where he had five shots or more in the last four games.

This is a great price for Martinez. His combination of shots, and blocked shots is hard to match at his price point.

Bouchard is worth a look at this low price. He is capable of getting you points, shots, blocked shots, and could be a player who breaks the slate.

We should expect this to be a fast-paced game, and that style should really favour a player like Josi who can affect all of the scoring categories.

If you're going to play a cash game today, Vasilevskiy would be my pick for a goalie. This is a game that the Lightning have a high chance of winning, and Vasi is almost always solid.

Since coming to the Wild, Fleury has been an absolute stud winning four of his five starts and very good in all of those wins as well.

Francouz should be a solid choice in both cash and GPP's today. New Jersey will typically shoot the puck a lot, and even on a back-to-back, you still expect Colorado to win this game.

While I still expect Calgary to win this game at home, Vegas has finally gotten healthy and are not going to be an easy team to play against, so I would look to use Markstrom today in GPP's only.

By now, you know how much I love using Saros at home, but even I am not bold enough to use him in a cash game against Edmonton. He is going to be a solid play in GPP's as he will have low ownership, and should see lots of work.
