NHL DFS is barely a week old, and it feels like we’ve been hit in the jaw a few times. The Avalanche have lost their first three games of the year and Alexandar Georgiev can’t stop a puck to save his life. 

Things are going to balance out, but we need to continue to make smart picks and exploit value. There will be a ton of that tonight.

 

 

 

NHL DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, October 15th

We have a 9-game slate on tap with some good teams in favorable matchups. Picking the right goalie is always key for NHL DFS picks, but on this slate, it will be critical. 

There are also some discount players that we need to keep an eye on. We have a lot to discuss, so let’s keep it moving and dive into today's NHL DFS projections.

NHL DFS Pick'Em Picks On Underdog

Before we get into the actual NHL DFS picks, let’s make some pick’em picks for the night over on Underdog. There are lots of ways we try to fill your wallet over here at Fantasy Alarm and this is just another option. 

Underdog NHL Picks, Tuesday, October 15th:

Zach Werenski is an excellent defenceman and he loves to shoot the puck. Columbus will need him tonight if they want to pull off a miracle on home ice.

I don’t enjoy Tom Wilson very much, but we know what he brings to the team. He’s playing in the top-6 and loves to throw his weight around. Washington won’t dominate puck possession in this one, so Wilson should be able to rack up the hits.

Connor McDavid is too good to be this average. The Oilers are off to a slow start, but they can get back on track with a win tonight. Edmonton’s power play is off to a slow start, but once they get going, good luck trying to slow them down.

 

 

 

NHL DFS Lineup Picks, 10/15

Goalie Of The Day: Jate Oettinger - DAL

The Dallas Stars have gotten off to a roaring start to their season and they won’t be slowing down tonight. Jake Oettinger is the most expensive goalie on DraftKings, but he is worth every dollar. The Sharks are a terrible hockey team, and they will be without Maclin Celebrini. I don’t know how they are going to score any goals.

Play Of The Day: Nikita Kucherov - TBL

I can’t see a way to fade Nikita Kucherov tonight. The Russian winger finished with three goals, one assist and six shots on goal against Carolina. He’s just so good and is capable of dominating a game. I know a couple of those goals were empty netters, but they still count.

 

 

 

Value Play Of The Day: Connor Zary - CGY

Connor Zary has two goals and an assist in three games this season and is skating on the second line. He’s been very good and has hit value in all three games. You can do a lot worse for NHL DFS picks at $3300 on DK.

Stack Of The Day - CGY3 (Jonathan Huberdeau - Martin Pospisil - Anthony Mantha)

There is no value stack I like more than this one. Jonathan Huberdeau is off to a good start and the same can be said for Anthony Mantha. 

Both players have four points in three games and have a very good matchup on paper against Chicago. They should see a very favorable matchup and I’m expecting nothing less than pure excellence from those three.
