Let’s keep things simple for the first few days of NHL. There’s no need to go broke in the first week.

Connor Bedard is a great passer, but he can also shoot the puck. He should be a lock to register 3+ shots on goal

Nikita Kucherov is an elite passer. He had 100 assists last year and should pick up right where he left off tonight.

Matvei Michkov did nothing but score during the preseason. The rookie has looked good so far and he’s going to be counted on to contribute. Not sure why his shot total is at 1.5, but we’ll gladly take the over.

Goalie Of The Day: Connor Hellebuyck - WPG

Not only did Connor Hellebuyck post a shutout in his first game but he did it ON THE ROAD against the EDMONTON OILERS! Shutting down that offence is a tall task, and he was up to it. Now he gets a matchup at home against the Chicago Blackhawks? Sign me up! He’s expensive and going to be chalk, but in cash games, it’s hard to say no to him.

Play Of The Day: Kyle Connor

We know how great Kyle Connor is, but his game is even better on home ice. He had 40 points in 34 games at home last season and has a great matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. Getting him at sub $7K on DK feel like a steal for NHL DFS picks today.

 

 

 

Value Play Of The Day: Matvei Michkov - PHI

Welcome to the show, Matvei Michkov. The rookie finished the preseason with seven points and is expected to skate on the top line and top power play unit. He’s $3000 on DraftKings, so this is a no-brainer. We probably won’t ever see him at that price point again, so take advantage of it now.

Stack Of The Day - WPG L1 (Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele, Gabriel Vilardi)

Winnipeg’s top line is going to be chalk, but it’s hard to envision a scenario where they don’t pop off. Chicago is a bad defensive team, and Arvid Soderblom can’t stop a beachball. If you can’t afford the entire line, have your NHL DFS picks include a mini-stack of Connor-Scheifele.
