Penguins vs. Blues Prediction: Thursday, April 3rd

The St. Louis Blues are a rocket ship and are heading straight into the playoffs. On a staggering 10-game win streak, the Blues have vaulted themselves into the wild-card race in the Western Conference and now have a comfortable lead.

They are looking for their 11th straight win tonight and will be up against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who look terrible on defense, but what else is new? Over the last two weeks, the Penguins are in the bottom 10 of the league in both Total Shot Attempts Allowed (62.7) and Goals Allowed (3.76), both per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations.

The Penguins aren't officially eliminated from the playoffs, but their season is over. The Blues have all the motivation to play and win, which would jump them back into the number one wild-card spot in the West. Let's turn to Dylan Holloway tonight for over 2.5 shots on goal.

He comes in with 25 shots on goal over his last 10 games while seeing time on the second forward line and the second power-play unit. Holloway has racked up at least two shots in seven of his last 10 games, putting him in play to hit this nearly every night.

Predators vs. Stars Prediction: Thursday, April 3rd

While this game is a late-season divisional matchup, these two teams could not be further apart in what the end of their season looks like. The Dallas Stars are a Stanley Cup favorite, while the Nashville Predators have been fighting an uphill battle since the season started.

The Stars are an absolute machine right now, coming in on a six-game winning streak and their defense has been standing tall. Over the last two weeks, the Stars have allowed 1.28 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the second-best in the league. A team known for its defense has turned things up to that playoff-type intensity and has locked things down.

On the other side, the Predators continue to be a disaster on offense, and over those same two weeks and in the same situations, the Preds have scored a paltry 1.67 Goals, which is the third-lowest in the league. The Stars are going to win this game and shut down the Predators' offense, it's as simple as that.
