Welcome to our expert NHL Best Bets today!
One final week of NHL predictions! That's where we are in the NHL season and the playoff picture is nearly solidified at this point, so let's jump into our NHL best bets today!
NHL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 4/10
There's been an insane amount of scoring over the last few days of NHL predictions, which is the opposite of what we should be seeing at this point in the season.
Blown leads, massive comebacks, you name it; the recent NHL picks have seen it all.
Ducks vs. Kings Prediction: Thursday, April 10th
The Los Angeles Kings still have plenty to play for as they have just a two-point lead over the Edmonton Oilers for the number two seed in the Pacific Division. That second seed means home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs, something every team wants.
The Kings do have a game in hand over the Oilers, which is a plus for them, but they still need to take care of business against the Anaheim Ducks, especially after a tough loss against the Seattle Kraken the other night.
Since the start of April, the Ducks have allowed 67.64 Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the fifth-worst in the league. On the other side, the Kings have generated 58.44 Total Shot Attempts in the same situations, which is 15th in the league. This is a plus matchup for them, so let's turn to Warren Foegele for some shots.
He comes in with 28 shots on goal in his last 10 games, where he's posted at least two shots in 8 of those 10 games. Foegele is in the mix to hit this every night and, for our NHL best bets today, has an easy matchup to do so.
- Expert Ducks vs. Kings Picks:
- Warren Foegele Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+100 on DraftKings)
Rangers vs. Islanders Prediction: Thursday, April 10th
A rivalry matchup, but with nothing to play for. While both the New York Rangers and the New York Islanders aren't “mathematically” eliminated from the playoffs, we all know they are out. They're done, the season is over for them, so let's get out there and score some goals.
The Islanders are going to have backup goalie, Marcus Hogberg, in net tonight, since Ilya Sorokin is dealing with an injury. Hoberg has allowed at least three goals in four of his last five games, which puts the Rangers in a good spot.
Overall, both teams are actually scoring a ton right now and we should see that on display tonight. Over the last two weeks, both teams are in the top 10 of the league for the most Goals Scored per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, sitting at 3.24 for the Islanders and 2.84 for the Rangers.
This game is a toss-up in terms of who wins, but our NHL best bets today believe the offense should get going right from the start tonight.
- Expert Rangers vs. Islanders Picks:
- Game Total Over 5.5 (-110 on FanDuel)

- Nashville Predators vs. Utah Hockey Club Under 6.5 (-134 on FanDuel)
