We have a loaded 10-game slate and there are awesome matchups to take a look at for NHL best bets

We're at the point in the season where we have a strong sample size for teams and can see exactly where they are struggling, making things a bit easier for props.

NHL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 12/3

As I noted in last week's NHL best bets, we are seeing a ton of scoring across the league, and it keeps things promising for props.

Games are wide open with plenty of pace and players have plenty of chances to cash in on props.

Blues vs. Jets Prediction: Tuesday, December 3rd

The Winnipeg Jets got off to a flying start this season but come in having lost four of their last five games. It's a long season and they were due for a bit of regression considering how hot of a start they were on, but I love them to bounce back tonight.

This is where I'll turn to Kyle Connor for NHL picks today, not only to hit over 3.5 shots on goal but also to find the back of the net with a goal. Connor is an elite shooter and comes in with 84 shots on goal which leads the Jets and is 23 more than the next highest player. He's their number one shooter and it's been this way for multiple seasons.

Despite having 11 shots on goal in his last five games, he has no goals in this stretch. The matchup is one that Connor has had plenty of historic success with, posting 9 goals in the last 12 games against the Blues.

After their offense struggled on their most recent road trip, the Jets are back at home and need their best goal-scorer to step up and get the offense flying again.

Kraken vs. Hurricanes Prediction: Tuesday, December 3rd

After getting waxed by the Florida Panthers in their last two games, I fully expect the Carolina Hurricanes to come away with the win tonight versus the Seattle Kraken

A 6-3 loss and a 6-0 loss to the Panthers is not what we expect from the Hurricanes, who have been one of the stronger teams for several seasons. They play solid defense, have an elite offense, and generally do things well from top to bottom.

Luckily for them, they get to take on the Kraken, who have hit a big slide, and their defense is seriously struggling. Over the last two weeks, the Kraken have allowed 3.57 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the second worst in the league.

On top of that, the Kraken allowed 61.94 Total Shot Attempts in the same situations over the last two weeks, which is the sixth worst in the league. This plays right into the hands of the Hurricanes, who lead the league with 67.19 Total Shot Attempts Created per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations over the last two weeks.

This brings me to Martin Necas, who has 13 points and 28 shots on goal over his last 10 games. He does come in with no points over these last two games, but again, I like the Canes to bounce back tonight with a big win at home after two rough losses. Necas leads the team with 37 points in 24 games, so getting big plus money on a team's point leader is a solid spot to look.
