Washington Capitals vs. Vegas Golden Knights Prediction: Sunday, November 17th

A rematch of the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals is always a fun time as the Washington Capitals visit the Vegas Golden Knights. The Capitals are off to a very hot and somewhat surprising start this season, and that brings us right to Alex Ovechkin

He had a bit of a slow year last season but that is all forgotten with the scoring pace he is on this season and it's a good matchup for him to add another one to his career total and continue his chase of Wayne Gretzky's record.

The Golden Knights are in the bottom six of the league in both goals allowed (2.98) and total shot attempts allowed (66.82), both per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations. This is not a spot we've normally seen the Golden Knights but their defense is struggling a bit right now and it plays into the hands of the Capitals.

To this point in the season, the Capitals lead the league with a whopping 4.02 Goals scored per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations. Ovi comes in with 36 shots on goal and 8 goals in his last 10 games, which he can continue adding to tonight.

New York Rangers vs. Seattle Kraken Prediction: Sunday, November 17th

The New York Rangers head out to the Pacific Northwest to take on one of the league's newest teams, the Seattle Kraken. The Kraken are hot right now with a four-game winning streak and will look to keep that going, versus a Rangers' defense that has been a bit suspect so far this year.

The Rangers come in allowing 63.95 Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is sixth-worst in the league. They might not be allowing a lot of goals but the shots are certainly there for opposing teams and that presents a ton of opportunity in the prop market.

Let's turn to Brandon Montour, who is having an awesome season in terms of production, with 56 shots on goal through 17 games, or 3.2 per game. Those 56 shots lead the Kraken this season and are the fifth-most in the league among defenders. He has at least two shots on goal in seven of his last 10 games and over the 2.5 mark in six of those 10 games.

It's a great matchup for Montour to continue his strong offensive season and rack up the shots on goal.
