Back to work on this Monday after going just above .500 last week on the bets. It's nice to win loads of money I know but sometimes treading water is the way it goes, still better than losing.

Stars vs. Penguins Prediction: Monday, November 11th

I can now say in mid-November that the bottom of the Penguins dynasty is falling off and while it's sad to see it’s a natural progression at the end of historic runs in salary cap leagues. That little note sets the stage for our NHL best bets in what should be a one sided game for the Stars tonight as they come in as one of the best defensive teams in the NHL allowing just 2.46 goals per game!

This is significant because the only way the Penguins win now is by scoring goals and if they get shut down by the Stars, they don’t have the team to play a low scoring game! Stars aren’t great on the road so far this season, but they won’t need to be at their best to beat a Pittsburgh team allowing 3.69 goals per game and starting rookie Joel Blomqvist in net with his 3.25 GAA.

Give me the Stars to win in regulation tonight on the 60-min Money Line to start today’s NHL predictions. With the Penguins defensive woes now well documented in this article let’s pile on some more with a player prop as the Pens allow 32.3 shots on goal per game, the 4th most in the NHL.

Jason Robertson will be the Stars forward I put my money on tonight as he has 35 shots so far this season and has topped his prop line of 2.5 shots in 6 games this season. The odds are fair at -130 also given the Penguins situation on defense so let’s lock in that wager as well to cap off our NHL best bets today.
