Ottawa Senators at Florida Panthers Prediction

Targeting the back to back is often the name of the game in NHL betting and tonight is going to be no different as the Senators play again tonight after a surprise win over the Tampa Bay Lightning last night. Their opponent tonight is a tough one and a group that is running hot right now with 9 wins over their last 10 games through an offense that is popping off. In the last 10 games the Panthers have scored a total of 43 goals which of course is 4.3 goals per game and that's big time in NHL standards. Combine that with the fact that Ottawa has allowed 3.64 goals per game on the road this season, 6th most in the league and you have a pretty large mismatch. The line for total Panthers goals tonight is a even 4 and that's a fair line considering the trends but I see the Panthers topping it given all that's in this game's equation. Joonas Korpisalo should start in net for the Sens tonight as well and he has been horrible on the road all season with a 3.36 GAA and .895 SV%, the Panthers are set to roll!

Nashville Predators at Vegas Golden Knights Prediction

We got things hyped up with the first pick of the night but now its time to bring the energy down as the Predators and Golden Knights are set to faceoff tonight in the desert. Vegas over the past several seasons has been one of the best defensive teams in the NHL and this year isn't much different as over the past 45 days the Golden Knights have allowed just 2.1 goals per game. Much of that is thanks to the return of Adin Hill who is projected to be the starter tonight with is 2.06 GAA and .931 SV% which are some beyond impressive numbers. On the other side should be Juuse Saros who isn't having the best statistical year of his career but he's still more than capable of shutting down the opposition and his splits on the road are much better than overall with a 2.79 GAA on the season. The Predators as a whole have allowed just 2.9 goals per game over the last 45 days on the road as well. On top of all of that is the fact that Vegas has gone under in 17 of 27 home games this season with the 7th best hit rate on the under in the NHL. Let's ride the under tonight and hope trends continue!

Minnesota Wild at Winnipeg Jets Prediction

Time to dip the toe into the player prop market for the day in the NHL and would you look who it is, Mark Scheifele! The Jets center had gone quiet for some time on the stat sheet as Winnipeg continues to play defense first hockey but tonight seems like the perfect night for a breakout game. Scheifele has gone over 2.5 shots on goal in 4 of the last 5 games now and 6 of his last 10 meetings with the Wild heading into tonight. You might think the juice on the lines would be negative knowing that but you'd be wrong as its plus money on almost all books. Considering the fact the Wild played yesterday and have allowed 32.9 shots per game on the road over the past 30 days I would say that's some great value and a bet I intend to make because of it. Look for the Jets to control this game and their star center to have himself a night!
