ThriveFantasy NFL Top Picks & Plays for Week 18: Josh Jacobs Takes on the Kansas City Chiefs
I’d be remiss if I didn’t touch on the Damar Hamlin situation, so I want to begin with that. Thoughts and prayers to Hamlin, his family, his friends, his teammates, Tee Higgins, everyone on the field that day, and the entire football family as a whole. What occurred on Monday night was tragic, incredibly unfortunate, and something that no one ever wants to see. I want to be incredibly clear that while I am looking ahead to Week 18 player props, I refuse to cease thinking about and praying for Damar Hamlin and his family. Hug those close to you. Don’t ever take anything for granted. Take the time you need, and seek help/conversation. With NFL action on Saturday and Sunday this week, I’ll give you a couple of my favorite NFL player props for each day, to give you a jump start on ThriveFantasy this weekend. Here are some NFL player props that you must target this week on Thrive, and these players will also likely generate some interest for your Week 18 NFL DFS lineups. It’s time to #PropUp over at ThriveFantasy!

ThriveFantasy Top Picks for NFL Week 18
Saturday
Josh Jacobs OVER 70.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
Jacobs is looking to end the season on a high note and parlay himself into a nice contract this offseason, whether it be with the Raiders, or more likely, another NFL squad. With Jarrett Stidham under center, we saw Jacobs get 17 carries and five targets last week, totaling 95 total yards against a stout San Francisco defense. Jacobs now gets to face Kansas City, who he’s averaging 75.6 rushing yards against for his career, and back in Week 5, Jacobs totaled 193 total yards (154 rushing, 39 receiving) against Kansas City.
Zay Jones OVER 2.5 Receptions
This line sits at only 2.5 receptions? I know we aren’t getting a ton of points from it, but 70 points are better than zero! He has at least three receptions in all but one of his last four games, and if we extend it to the full season, he has at least three receptions in all but two games! Trevor Lawrence likes looking to Jones, and back in Week 14 against Tennessee, Jones caught eight of 12 targets. Again, I know it’s not a ton of points, but it’s better than zero, and this seems like nearly free money against Tennessee’s soft pass defense.
ADDITION: Trevor Lawrence OVER 250.5 Passing + Rushing Yards
Many sports books have Trevor Lawrence's passing yardage line well over this number, and we even get rushing yards added on! Thank you, Thrive! In a must-win game, I expect Jacksonville to have more success through the air, and they'll put the offense on the back, well, right arm, of its star quarterback. Earlier this year, Lawrence went for 368 passing yards, a season-high, against Tennessee, and he has at least 250 total yards in all three of his career games against the Titans. Take the over and don't look back.
Sunday
Aaron Jones OVER 66.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
Jones may not be playing the same amount of snaps as he was earlier in the year, but he’s incredibly effective with the opportunities given to him, and in this must-win game, expect the Pack to rely on Jones a good bit, perhaps even more than in the past couple of weeks. Jones averages 66 yards per game on the ground against Detroit for his career, and while Detroit held him in check back in Week 9, I’m not expecting a repeat of that game for Jones where he had just 45 total yards. Aaron Rodgers is playing much better of late, and we’ve seen Detroit’s run defense implode at times this year.
Nick Chubb OVER 78.5 Rushing Yards
Chubb has averaged 72 yards per game on the ground in his career against the Steelers, and back in Week 3, he totaled 113 yards on 23 carries. He hasn’t scored a touchdown since Deshaun Watson has been the quarterback for the Browns, but he has averaged 18 carries and 81.8 yards per game with Watson. With a good dosage of volume on the horizon, expect Chubb to surpass this mark, en route to his fourth straight game with at least 90 yards rushing.
