Good afternoon, Family! Are you ready for some Sunday Night Football? What better way to end your week than an NFL DFS Showdown on DraftKings and FanDuel? We have another good one tonight with the Dallas Cowboys visiting the last undefeated team in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys defense has yet to allow any team to score 20 points on them but they will have their work cut out for them tonight as the Jalen Hurts led Eagles come in with a solid 24.25 implied team total. This NFC East rivalry game has playmakers on both teams who can set up your DraftKings and FanDuel Showdown lineups for success. Something must break between these two powerhouses that feature star receivers like CeeDee Lamb and AJ Brown and we will witness it all tonight on Sunday Night Football DFS Showdown! There is a full rundown of players and suggestions below and you can always take a look at our Weekly Match-Up Report and use NFL DFS Tools like our DFS Lineup Generator (a.k.a. the DFS lineup optimizer). We have everything you need to build a winning DFS lineup.

First, from the words of our fearless leader at Fantasy Alarm, Howard Bender:

Now before we begin, for those who are new to the process, please take a moment to understand what exactly you are getting yourself into by playing single-game Showdown Slates. We love to have some skin in the game, for sure, but these slates are, for all intents and purposes, a lottery ticket. Sure, there are times when the chalk hits, and everyone shares in the prizes, but, often, you need to hit on that random dart throw that differentiates your lineup from that of the herd in order to claim the top prize. As a result, we encourage you to play responsibly and not over-invest. Stick to the GPP contests (single-entry preferred), don’t blow your whole bankroll, and understand that, unless you are a max-entry player, you should prioritize having fun.

OK, now let’s get to tonight’s action.

**Please note that players not listed below are not necessarily a complete fade and any player listed can certainly be used as the MVP/Captain. These are merely suggestions for players to use when setting Showdown lineups.

MVP/CAPTAIN

Jalen Hurts (PHI) This is an easy one and chalk that you should eat in cash games. Hurts has 25 DK fantasy points in four of his five games played but this is his toughest matchup yet. The Cowboys have a legit defense and have not allowed a rushing TD to a QB all season – but Hurts is not a normal QB. Hurts also leads all NFL players with 12 carries inside the 5-yard line and in Showdowns it’s all about the touchdown.

CeeDee Lamb (DAL) I prefer Lamb to Cowboys QB Cooper Rush for cash Captain tonight. Lamb has outscored Rush in every game that the QB has started and if Rush does have a good game chances are that DeeDee will be the main beneficiary. This is the alpha with 10 targets a game (35% target rate) and his worst game of the season was with Dak Prescott at under center. Lamb has the safest floor of all receivers in the game but note that he was a late addition to the injury report this week.

Miles Sanders (PHI) Sanders is coming off a season-high 74% of the snaps last week and is averaging 17 carries a game. This contest leans towards the Eagles run game with the Cowboys a much better pass defense (4th DVOA) than against the run (18th). Even though we must expect that Hurts will be heavily involved on the ground plus Boston Scott is back but Sanders should still benefit from a positive game script and that brings a solid floor and ceiling to the RB1.

DeVonta Smith (PHI) Smith has seven-plus targets over each of his last four games (8.5 average) and the addition of AJ Brown has made the Eagles more of a passing team than they were last year and Smith a much safer play than many had thought he would be. Dallas is allowing the 28th most fantasy points to the WR position and while they will be busy trying to contain Brown, Smith could sneak right in and nuke the slate. Plus, Smith is actually playing more snaps and running more routes than the Eagles WR1 and at quite a discount we get one of my favorite GPP and Cash plays of the slate.

AJ Brown (PHI) The Eagles WR1 is averaging nine targets a game (29.6% target share) but at his high DK captain price ($15.9K) Brown will need to have a huge game to be optimal. After coming off his worst game as an Eagle (3/32) he will have to be sacrificed in cash games but is fully in play in GPPs.

UTILITY/MID-RANGE

Dallas Goedert (PHI) Last week Goedert was targeted nine times (8-95-0) against the blitz-heavy Cardinals. We may see the same thing tonight and if the Eagles receivers do get smothered Hurts will be looking for his safety valve- Goedert. Even though a player like Goedert will always attract ownership his price makes it hard to fit in top priced SD talent making him more of an attractive leverage play tonight.

Tony Pollard (DAL) Pollard has been the better fantasy option over Ezekiel Elliot with double-digit DK fantasy point games in three of five played. His snap share is around 40% over the last few weeks but his receiving production has been substandard with just 7 catches for 77 yards on the season. With Miles Sanders sitting in the same price range as the two Dallas runners Pollard is a GPP play only in “Dallas upset” lineup builds.

Noah Brown (DAL) Brown is one of my sneaky GPP plays of the slate. His production has diminished with Michael Gallup back and he only caught one ball for five yards this week. He comes in tonight with a $600 discount off Gallup and with Dalton Schultz playing through a PCL injury Brown should continue to handle around 50% of the slot opportunities in a game where the Cowboys should be forced to throw more as five -point road dogs.

Cooper Rush (DAL) I am pretty much on Team Fade Rush tonight but if the Eagles jump out to a big lead early it will be up to the Cowboys QB to keep them in the game. He did put up 14, 12 and 18 DK fantasy points in his first three games but last week only threw for 102 yards against the Rams with no touchdowns. Rush is more of a game manager but to his credit he has not turned the ball over this season.

VALUE

Brett Maher (DAL) Safe value will be hard to come by for Cash games tonight so that’s when we start looking towards the kickers. Maher is 13/14 kicking field goals on the season and 4/5 from 50 yards plus. He gets the clear advantage over Eagles kicker Jake Elliot who returns this week but has only attempted five field goals on the season.

Quez Watkins (PHI) Watkins stretches the field as the Eagles home run hitter. While the Kickers have the safe floors, Watkins has the higher ceiling putting him in GPP play only. He has no catches in three of five games but can score a long touchdown at any point in the game

Eagles DST After a blazing start Cooper Rush is starting to come back to earth for the Cowboys (10-for-16 for 102 yards and no TDs last week) and his shortcomings are now beginning to rear their head. That’s good news for the Eagles defense- one of the best overall units in the league.

PUNT PLAYS

Boston Scott (PHI) Scott has been out the past two weeks but isn’t listed on the Week 6 injury report. He will take a few snaps from Sanders and did score a touchdown in Week 1.

Kenneth Gainwell (PHI) Gainwell has been the primary backup to Sanders and may see 6-10 opportunities unless the game turns into a blowout or Sanders injury.

Peyton Hendershot/Jake Ferguson (DAL) Total punts at $200 but it only takes a catch or two to make value at that price. If Schultz reaggravates his PCL one of these two all of a sudden get big upgrades.

KaVontae Turpin (DAL) In play ONLY if Lamb (hip) unexpectedly cannot play tonight
