NFL DFS QB Coach Week 7: Joe Burrow Takes On the Atlanta Falcons
Week 7 of the NFL DFS season takes a bit of a hit when it comes to top end talent thanks to the Bills, Eagles, Vikings and Rams all being on their bye weeks. We also have the Saints, Cardinals, Steelers, Dolphins, Patriots and Bears getting the prime-time TV treatment. So, while this slate may be a bit watered down, featuring just 11 games, the show goes on. Let's take a look at some of the top plays, values and fades when it comes to the Week 7 NFL DFS QB position.

NFL DFS QB Top Plays
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Every week you check the schedule to see who the Seahawks are facing and then you will go and play that team in DFS for that week. For most weeks it was worked out perfectly, last week, was a rare occasion where it wasn't as effective. That said, I think we just keep firing those bullets with this matchup. Week 7 could see the return of Keenan Allen for the Chargers offense and Herbert already has plenty of weapons with Mike Williams, Austin Ekeler, Gerald Everett and Joshua Palmer. Adding Keenan Allen would only make this play that much more appealing.
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Burrow draws a home matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7. Atlanta this season ranks 23rd in DVOA against the pass and have allowed the most passing yards on the year. Burrow led all fantasy QB's in scoring last week when the Bengals faced the Saints and he should be in a great position to put up big numbers yet again this week with Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd continuing to make up one of the best WR trios in football.
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Listen, I know Jackson has been rather disappointing over the past few weeks but this week he has a home matchup against a Browns defense that just let Bailey Zappe throw for over 300-yards and two touchdowns. Jackson isn't cheap but this feels like a prime Lamar Jackson/Mark Andrews stack combo week.
NFL DFS QB Mid-Price Plays
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
If Prescott is active and plays then I am buying in. The Detroit Lions have the worst defense in the NFL and the Cowboys offense certainly has the talent to potentially lead the week in scoring. This is obviously a situation we have to continue monitoring but if he gets the green light he would likely be the highest rostered QB on the slate.
Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
What a let down performance from Brady in Week 6 as the Bucs went into Pittsburgh and were upset by the lowly Steelers. Brady completed just 62.5% of his passes for 243 yards and a touchdown. There was also controversy surrounding Brady once again as he skipped the team Saturday walk-through after attending the wedding of Patriots owner Bob Kraft the night before. Brady will get a chance to redeem himself in Week 7 against a Panthers team that is going through some changes following the firing of their head coach and defensive coordinator. Brady still has the weapons to put up big fantasy points but the question is really whether or not his head is in the game.
NFL DFS QB Value Plays
Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers
I don't ever think to play Garoppolo in DFS because his upside tends to be a bit limited given the 49ers high volume rushing attack but this could be the matchup where we get a ceiling type game out of Jimmy G as the 49ers face off against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. The Chiefs defense has given up a lot of points to opposing QB's this season and that's because their offense puts up a ton of points which forces their opponents to throw to keep pace. In Week 6 we saw Garoppolo post a season best 18.9 fantasy points as he threw for 296 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a shocking upset loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Garoppolo's cheap price tag make it easier to stack him with Deebo Samuel, George Kittle or Brandon Ayuik this week.
Taylor Heinicke, Washington Commanders
Heinicke is just $5,000 on DraftKings this week and if you are looking for a complete dart throw then maybe this is the play. The Commanders are home against a reeling Packers team that has now lost to the Jets and Giants in back-to-back weeks and nearly lost to the Bailey Zappe led Patriots, needing overtime to get the win there. The Commanders have talent on the offensive side of the football and it won't take much for Heinicke to return value on his price point this week if he can throw a few touchdowns.
Matt Ryan, Indianapolis Colts
Ryan has put forth some solid fantasy efforts of late and the loss of Jonathan Taylor is likely the reason for that. Now, Jonathan Taylor could very well be back this week but we just saw Ryan in this matchup and he threw for 356 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in a home loss to the Titans. Ryan has attempted at least 37 pass attempts in each of the last four games which provides him opportunities to score points. This Titans defense is not very good and I look for Ryan to take advantage of that fact even if Jonathan Taylor returns.
NFL DFS QB Fades
Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
This category will soon be named after Rodgers as I just have no interest in playing him given the state of this offense and team. The price continues to drop but the production hasn't really gotten much better and even though the Commanders have been susceptible to the pass this season, it would take a high volume of passes and/or touchdowns for Rodgers to really be a difference maker in your GPP contests.
