Welcome to the Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Report! The waiver wire is key to winning. It helps you improve on the team you drafted, and to help patch holes when players go down due to injury. It’s something most managers will monitor daily. Let’s take a look at who we should be adding this week.

If you are looking for up-to-date information about players on the COVID-19 protocol this, you can find it here.

Max Comtois - Anaheim Ducks - Winger

It hasn’t been an easy season for Max Comtois, but there is still hope that he can have a strong second half of the season. The winger has three points in the last four games, including nine shots on goal. His ice time continues to be inconsistent, but he’s playing in the top six and seeing top power play minutes. This could change when Troy Terry returns to the lineup, but for now, he’s a great short-term solution for a fantasy team that needs some offence.

Erik Haula - Boston Bruins - Center/Winger

We know that the Bruins have an explosive top line, but they need more from the rest of their offensive players, and Erik Haula could play a role in that. He’s centering the second line with Taylor Hall and David Pastrnak, two players who are very good at shooting the puck. He’s also seeing over 17-minutes a night, all factors that should lead to more points. He’s not going to blow you away, but if he’s regularly racking up points, he could be a force in the second half of the season. He’s widely available across multiple sites, so scoop him up if you need some help.

Corey Perry - Tampa Bay Lightning - Winger

It’s crazy that Corey Perry is still fantasy hockey relevant in 2022. He has ten goals on the season, and was skating on the top line in Saturday’s game against Dallas. He didn’t register a point, but played over 17-minutes, including some time on the second power play unit. We don’t know how much gas the veteran has left in the tank, but for now, he’s worth considering in deeper formats.

Jake Oettinger - Dallas Stars - Goalie

We’ve already talked about Jake Oettinger in a previous waiver wire article, but I don’t think a lot of people were listening. He was #NotGood against the Panthers on Friday, but he’s been really good this season, and with Braden Holtby out due to COVID-19 and Anton Khudobin just not being a very good goalie, the crease is all his to run with. The Stars have a great schedule coming up, including matchups with the Canadiens, Sabers and Flyers. These are games that Dallas should be able to win, and set up Oettinger for a ton of success this week.

P.K. Subban - New Jersey Devils - Defence

With Dougie Hamilton out of the line, P.K. Subban has been given the chance to quarterback the top power play unit. The points haven’t been flowing, but the veteran defenceman is seeing a decent amount of ice time, and as long as he continues to get the chances, he’s going to either succeed, or be replaced. He’s widely available on most sites, and if it doesn’t work out, we can just add whoever is going to replace him.
