The 2025 NFL Draft class might not be as heavily touted as 2024. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have multiple fantasy-relevant guys emerge. This year's group includes everything from dual-threat athletes to traditional pocket passers with exceptional arm strength, offering a range of skills that could be beneficial for fantasy football.

Leading the pack are Cam Ward from Miami and Shedeur Sanders from Colorado, but there’s a lot of discussion about who should be next in line. Could Jaxson Dart’s exciting playmaking skills push him into the top tier? Will Jalen Milroe’s speed and agility help him overcome concerns about his throwing accuracy?

As always, the situation each quarterback lands in and the offensive system they join will greatly affect their fantasy potential. Some of these players are ready to shine right away, while others might require some time to grow. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the top quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft and their potential impact on the fantasy football scene.

2025 NFL Draft QB Prospects & Rankings

TierSchoolNamePosType40 TimeHeightWeightNotes
1MiamiCam WardQBPocket4.876'2"223Ward seemingly settled the debate between him and Shedeur Sanders with his combine interviews. He has great arm talent both in the pocket and on the run. Has a tendency to play "hero ball" and extend plays which might be diffucult at the NFL without elite speed. That was something a guy like Zach Wilson found out first hand.
1ColoradoShedeur SandersQBPocket4.656'2"212The son of Deion Sanders will naturally have some swagger to him though it's been reported his attitude may be off-putting for certain teams. Sanders has enough speed to keep defenses honest but, when rolling out, he prefers to look for opportunities downfield rather than keep it himself, similarly to Caleb Williams. He and Ward have been the consensus top two through most of the process.
2Ole MissJaxson DartQBPocket4.856'2"223Dart was a highly touted recruit out of high school which has been reflected in his highlight reel of big plays. There are some questions about his consistency but the ability to take risks and be a difference-maker is more appealing to us. His 4.85 speed does not leave huge room for rushing upside. If he gets first round draft capital like many of projecting, that will move him up the superflex boards.
2AlabamaJalen MilroeQBMobile4.426'2"217If you are looking for a dual-threat quarterback, this is the guy. He ran 160+ times in back-to-back seasons including scoring 20 rushing TDs as a senior at Alabama. He should get drafted with enough capital to get a shot at some point though he may initially start out as a backup to a veteran QB. He's been tied to the Steelers who took him out to dinner prior to his Pro Day. He must have had something light for dinner as he showed off an impressive forty at his Pro Day.
3Ohio StateWill HowardQBPocketNA6'4"236You're always going to get some respect from scouts when you lead a team to a National Title. He's a guy that CAN run if need be but he's not a rushing quarterback by any means. It's not a deep class so a team should take a shot on him to see if he can develop, even if it's in a back up capacity.
3LouisvilleTyler ShoughQBPocket4.636'5"219Tyler Shough took full advantage of the college transfer portal as he bounced around for seven years. He never quite put together the season folks wanted but he did have a solid enough 2024 to garner interest. He was a highly touted recruit and sometimes that carries weight with scouts to the NFL level. Because of his elongated stay in college, he's already 25 years old.
3TexasQuinn EwersQBPocket4.76'2"214Quinn Ewers is a bit of a divisive prospect. He's not particularly big or athletic but he did a good job of getting the ball in the hands of his speedy wide receivers quickly at Texas. Like all quarterback prospects, draft capital is the number one indicator of success so the draft will be crucial in how we view a guy like Ewers.
