Dolphins signed QB Zach Wilson to a one-year, $6 million contract.

The deal is reported to be fully guaranteed and carries a maximum value of $10 million, the incentives of which have yet to be disclosed. The Dolphins have struggled while playing with their backup quarterback in each of the previous two seasons as starter Tua Tagovailoa struggled through head injuries. Whether or not Wilson is the answer to those woes remains to be seen, but he joins a situation where he’s likely one of the favorite backups to see playing time in the coming season.

Titans beat writer Buck Reising reports the Titans may be interested in Zach Wilson or Mac Jones.

It’s hard to imagine this as anything more than a backup role. Both Wilson and Jones are former first round picks of the 2021 draft class, and both are on track to be on their third team in two years. While Wilson didn’t log a pass attempt in 2024 as the QB3 for the Broncos, Jones threw for 1,672-8-8 in 10 games for the Jaguars while going 2-5 as a starter. The Titans currently hold the No. 1 overall pick in this years draft and could consider a rookie quarterback, but in an underwhelming QB class, they may opt for a stop gap at the position in hopes of getting a better option in 2026.

The Athletic’s Nick Kosmider believes Zach Wilson “figures to draw interest on the free-agent market” as a potential starter.

The Wilson rehabilitation tour ran into a slight roadblock this past year as Bo Nix started 17 games and Wilson was often a healthy scratch. The former No. 2 overall pick is described by Kosmider as “a player who could potentially compete for a starting job in training camp.” There haven’t exactly been wide-spread rumors of Wilson interest on the open market to date. We’d bet on him finding a backup role somewhere, but we’d be a little surprised if he competed for a starting role in 2025.

Broncos declared QB Zach Wilson, RB Blake Watson, OL Frank Crum, LB Levelle Bailey, DL Eyioma Uwazurike, DL Matt Henningsen, and WR David Sills inactive for Week 17 against the Bengals.

No real surprises here as both practice squad call-ups were elevated to get a game-day check before ultimately being ruled inactive. The Broncos will be near full strength as they take on the Bengals as they aim to lock up a playoff bid in Week 17.
