Best NFL Thursday Night Football Player Prop Picks
Locking in NFL TNF player prop picks for Week 7 is undeniably a more nuanced situation than most other matchups. Unlike a game featuring superstars all over the field where it feels like there is no going wrong, that’s not what we have on Thursday night.
Both teams have also been a headache to trust in general, let alone individual players. Despite all that, we’ve found two spots that we love. Although both of our NFL TNF player prop picks are focused on the New Orleans’ side of the matchup, they’re actually on opposite sides of the ball.
So, rather than continuing to preface everything, let’s break down each of our best Broncos vs. Saints player props.
Broncos vs. Saints Player Props: Spencer Rattler Under 182.5 Passing Yards (-115 at DraftKings)
Due to another injury to starting QB Derek Carr, the Saints were forced to start rookie QB Spencer Rattler this past Sunday. He didn’t look too rattled - no pun intended - in the first half, but halftime adjustments are a real thing, ultimately leading to New Orleans falling 51-27.
That’s important to note because with such a drastic comeback needed, the Saints were forced to throw nearly the entire fourth quarter and then some. That led to Rattler being able to throw for 243 yards, and while that isn’t record-setting, it has his line for this week higher than what we’re projecting.
The Broncos defense has been absolutely elite against the pass specifically, allowing both the fifth-fewest passing yards per game and the second-fewest fantasy points to WRs. There was consideration for targeting a WR with that in mind but given the randomness of Rattler’s targets this past Sunday, targeting the overall passing game seems like the safer play.
Speaking of WRs, New Orleans star WR Chris Olave was questionable for Week 6, and then exited with a concussion. That’s a massive loss for the fifth-round signal caller and the offense, so we’re starting our NFL TNF player prop picks with Spencer Rattler under 182.5 passing yards (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook).
Broncos vs. Saints Player Prop Bets: Paulson Adebo - Over Solo Tackles at DraftKings
Generally, we’d prefer to target the Denver side of the matchup when it comes to Broncos vs. Saints player props, but as mentioned, great targets are few and far between with this clash. Instead, we’re going to focus on the defensive side of the ball and an individual prop in that regard.
New Orleans still wants to rely on their defense to win games, especially with a rookie QB at the helm. However, the lack of offensive consistency has kept their defense on the field. While that is not ideal from a winning games standpoint, it is for padding the stat sheet.
That is exactly what DB Paulson Adebo has done, as his 40 solo tackles are the third-most in the entire NFL. If it sounds concerned that a DB is so high up the list, that’s because it is. He’s been forced to make contact with far too many runners, and with the Saints allowing the fourth-most passing yards, Adebo has needed to make plenty of tackles.
On top of that, Broncos QB Bo Nix has proven that he can use his legs when facing man coverage, which then forces DBs to turn and come up to make a tackle. Lastly, we’re focusing on the value of solo tackles due to Adebo having just six assists on the year.
Along with eight or more solo tackles in three of the past four games, we’re adding Paulson Adebo’s over on his solo tackles at DraftKings to our betting card. The line and odds have yet to be announced, but we expect it to be listed around 5.5 with odds of around +115.
