Just when you think it can't get worse in NFL survivor pools, it does. Another wild ride in Week 7 with the Buccaneers as 13.5-point favorites not only lose to Carolina, they don't score a touchdown. Then the Patriots, one of the most popular picks, lost at home to the Bears.

The Circa Survivor contest is one of the popular pools and 98 percent of participants have been eliminated. In Week 8, three teams are favored by at least nine points, including two by double-digits. Every other game is 4.5 points or fewer.

NFL Week 8 Survivor Picks

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have yet to lose, coming off a bye, and are favored by 10.5 points at home. The Steelers offense is struggling and is last in yards per play with 4.8 and 31st in scoring. The Eagles have a multitude of weapons on offense behind a good offensive line and one of the best defenses in football. The defense ranks top five in total yards and leads the league in forcing turnovers with 14. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett has thrown seven interceptions, including three last week against the Dolphins.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills have dominated inferior opponents and are coming off a bye week. Three of the Bills' five wins are by at least 21 points. The Bills have outscored opponents, 176-81. The Bills defense ranks first in defensive DVOA. The Packers haven't looked good and have lost three consecutive games to the Giants, Jets, and Commanders. The Packers could be without Allen Lazard and the defense hasn't played well. The Packers offense has only 301, 278, and 232 yards of offense the last three weeks.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys defense has been suffocating. They limited the Lions to no touchdowns last week, two field goals, and forced five turnovers. The Cowboys are first in sacks and tied for second in opponent yards per play. The Bears had a surprising win at New England on Monday night in their best offensive performance of the season. The Cowboys defense should cause a lot of problems for Justin Fields, who has been sacked the most this season. Dak Prescott made his return from a thumb injury last week and went 19-for-25 for 207 yards with a touchdown.

Last week: 1-2
Season: 13-7-1
