If you're still playing in a survivor pool, it's a huge accomplishment. It has been a wild season and the number of double-digit favorites has diminished in recent weeks. The Chiefs are the lone double-digit favorite in Week 16. Eleven teams are favored by five points or fewer.

Here are my top survivor picks for the week.

NFL Week 16 Survivor Picks

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have won seven consecutive games and haven't fell with Brock Purdy at quarterback. The defense has been dominant and ranks second in opponent yards per play. Washington was shut down by the Giants on Sunday night and the 49ers defense is even better. Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke was pressured on 44% of his dropbacks against the Giants. No team has scored more than 17 points against the 49ers in the last seven games and Washington is unlikely to break the streak. Washington ranks 25th in points and 26th in third down conversions per game. Even without Deebo Samuel, the 49ers have a ton of offensive weapons with Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk. Purdy is managing the game well and not making mistakes.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs haven't been dominant and needed overtime to beat the Texans last week. The week before, Kansas City had a 27-0 lead against the Broncos before winning 34-28. They are better at home with a 5-1 record, return home after a three-game road trip and are still in contention for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Chiefs have won seven of the last eight games with the loss coming to the Bengals. The Seahawks have been one of the surprise teams in the NFL, although they are starting to struggle with losses in four of the last five games. The Chiefs lead the NFL in scoring and yards per game. The Chiefs have another good spot remaining when they host the Broncos.

Buffalo Bills

While the Bills are on the road, they are facing a Bears team that is 1-10 in the last 11 games. Justin Fields makes the Bears dangerous, but the defense has been unable to slow down teams. The Bears can keep games close for a bit before mistakes and inferior talent set in. The Bears rank 30th in points allowed and the Bills rank second in scoring. If you still have the Bills left, this is the best spot with the Bengals and Patriots remaining in the next two weeks.

Also consider: Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Last week: 3-0
Season: 34-10-1
