Lauri Markkanen Sleeper Fantasy NBA Pick: More Than 18.5 Points (1.7x)

This is a classic case of shooting-bad-itis. This is where the itis goes away. In each of the last two seasons, Lauri Markkanen has averaged north of 23 points per game and has shot 48% or better each year. He’s at 16 PPG on sub-40% shooting. Normally that will average itself out for a guy who signed a $200M contract in the offseason. His 24.5% USG is still elite and Markkanen is a bucket-getter. Markkanen’s points are one of the top NBA Sleeper Fantasy Picks of the day.

  • Pick: More than 18.5 Points (1.7x)

Harrison Barnes Sleeper Fantasy NBA Pick: Less Than 16.5 P+R+A (1.8x)

There are a lot of factors here but I’m not a fan of Harrison Barnes clearing 16.5 PRA and you shouldn’t be either. He’s only played 18 and 24 minutes in each of the last two games and the cavalry is on the way as Devin Vassell is probable to make his season debut. We know how high a usage player Vassell is, so shot volume is going to plummet for everyone. He’s also not someone who’s consistently notching assists and has averaged just 5.5 rebound opportunities per game since Jeremy Sochan exited the lineup.

  • Pick: Less Than 16.5 P+R+A (1.6x)
