NBA Showdown Playbook February 24: Sacramento Kings vs Los Angeles Clippers DFS Picks
We have an outstanding matchup to finish off Friday's, February 24th NBA slate. The Sacramento Kings on the second night of a back-to-back are traveling to Los Angeles to take on the new-look Los Angeles Clippers. The Kings look to start a second-half winning streak after they beat Portland last night. The Clippers will look to acclimate Russell Westbrook into their offense tonight.

NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks
MVP/Captain
Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings
Sabonis has the highest floor on this slate because of the way he rebounds. Domantas Sabonis has grabbed 14, 15, and 18 in his last three games. He is also coming off a triple-double in 32 minutes last night when he posted 18-10-18 finishing with 63.5 fantasy points. Mason Plumlee will be his matchup tonight with Ivica out with a calf injury. In the two games, Sabonis played against Charlotte with Plumlee as his primary defender Sabonis scored 40, and 71 fantasy points. Sabonis is my top captain play tonight.
Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers
Like Sabonis, Leonard is very consistent. He has scored at least 41 fantasy points in 10 of his past 12 games. With Westbrook in town, Kawhi is still going to be the alpha. As you'll read later I believe the player who will take a bigger hit with Westbrook in town is Paul George. I look for Kawhi to still get his each night
De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings
Fox was extremely efficient last night. He only played 26 minutes in the blowout but went 11-15 from the field for 31 game points. I love that he only had to play 26 minutes on the first night of a back-to-back. His legs should be fresh in this one. In his last matchup against the Clippers, he scored just 29 fantasy points, but this is a new look Clippers team. I think Fox should be fine, but he isn't a must-play tonight.
Utility
Paul George, Los Angeles Clippers
It sounds like Paul George was pushing extremely hard to get Russell Westbrook, so when it comes down to it, he may need to be the guy to sacrifice some of his touches. I think he will be solid still, I just do not think the ceiling will be there each night. That's why I do not have him as a captain spot tonight.
Norman Powell, Los Angeles Clippers
Norman Powell sat out the last game before the All-Star break for rest, and he will be good to go for tonight. Even with the rotation changes I still see Powell playing around 25 minutes tonight. What we know about Powell is that he will be a bucket off the bench tonight. He has scored at least 25 fantasy points in his last seven games.
Kevin Huerter, Sacramento Kings
Like Fox, Huerter only had to play 26 minutes in the blowout last night, so he should still have fresh legs. His last two games before the break were outstanding, scoring 33 and 38 fantasy points. If he gets hot from behind the arc tonight, he could give you 30+ fantasy points. In the last two matchups against the Clippers, he scored 31 and 23 fantasy points. Play Huerter tonight.
Mason Plumlee, Los Angeles
Plumlee played just 17 and 18 minutes since the Clippers acquired him. However Zubac will not be available tonight, so if he stays out of foul trouble he should see close to 30 minutes. When Plumlee was getting 30+ minutes in Charlotte he was averaging over 31 fantasy points per game. At $5,800 Plumlee is a must-play tonight.
Dart Throws
Nicolas Batum, Los Angeles Clippers
With Zubac being out tonight I expect Batum to step in and be the backup center tonight. He should get around 15-20 minutes tonight and we know he is a knockdown shooter hitting just under 38% of his three-pointers. If he hits a few threes tonight and grabs some rebounds, he could get you around 20 fantasy points at a $1,800 price.
Marcus Morris, Los Angeles Clippers
Morris obviously takes a hit with all the new guys coming in. He has played just 19 and 23 minutes in his last two games. I will be curious if he will start once again tonight or if he will come off the bench. There isn't much upside with this play but he could get you 20 fantasy points tonight.
