NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Wednesday Playbook

Gun-to-head right now, I think Trae is my spend-up at PG. Atlanta is trying to creep back into the playoff picture. Dallas is miserable defensively, and ATL has a healthy 118 TT. Trae has been pretty consistent over the past couple of weeks, scoring 51+ DKP in 7 of his last 11 games, and we are finally seeing massive usage rates above 30%. When Trae wants to score the ball, you see his ceiling more than just occasionally.

I don't note every hypothetical so early, but if Murray (or some combination of Braun/Gordon/Jokic misses, Westy could be a late-leverage GPP winner. He would get the biggest bump of Murray misses. I wouldn't play him if everyone is active, though.

San Antonio is down so many bodies, and you can add Vassell & Keldon to that list. There is basically no data with all of these guys absent off the floor this season. Paul should play ~25 minutes, and there's a chance Dever pulls the rug and rests a bunch of guys too, which could make this game brutal but competitive.

No Payne, no Brunson. It's another Delon Wright night, whether we like it or not. Looking at 30+ minutes or so. On paper, he's currently one of the better value options at $4.5.

Wesley has an incredibly low floor, but he played 26 minutes in his last game and should have a big role tonight. He's also a key candidate for blowout run if this game gets ugly. Right now, he's a large-field play.

Don is a sneaky large-field GPP play. We're seeing 35+ minutes out of him (last three games) and he's rattled off 50+ DKP in each of those last three games. Perhaps, he'll get up for a game at MSG.

Castle becomes one of my favorite plays of the slate without Vassell and Keldon. He's shown us usage rates into the mid-30s over the past month or so. It's typically just minutes and the usage of his teammates getting in the way. Both of those issues should be nullified tonight. Could be a ceiling game here…

Schroder should be fine in the likely absence of Cade (D) tonight.

This should be a nice game environment. LeVert is cheap, and ATL needs to keep winning. A large-field look.

Champagnie might be my favorite value play on the slate as things currently stand. He's been trending in the right direction lately. Also, since Jan. 1 without Fox, Vassell, Keldon, Tre Jones, and Wemby (small 44-min sample, but at least it's something), he averaged a hefty 27% usage and 42.65 DKP. We can't expect 40 DKP out of him every time in this situation, but the math be mathin'. He should have a really big role and play a ton of minutes.

Have to keep him on top of mind if Jaylen Brown (Q) is ruled out.

Bad matchup and pretty poor TT, but without Brunson and McBride, Hart still has a very high ceiling. He should play 36-40+ minutes if the game is close. He's scored 49+ DKP a handful of times in March. He's a large-field play right now.

OG has been playing phenomenal basketball for the banged-up Knicks, and I think I prefer him out of the three Knick's wings. Big minutes and he's shooting the ball at a high clip. Since 3/10, he's tallied between 41-55 DKP in 8 of 11 games. Heater!

Harrison Barnes is not good at basketball at this point of his career, but he should play 25+ minutes and he's just $3.6. He doesn't have to be good tonight to not totally kill your lineup at that price – if that make sense.

GPP play only. You'll see WAS use a lot of bodies, but Martin has carved out a late-season “let's see what ya got” role. Scary floor, but if he gets you 25, you're cooking.

I like Mobley a lot tonight in a big Eastern Conference showdown. We've seen him post some big-time numbers when he's extended to 35-36 minutes, and if this game is marginally close, it could be one of those instances. He's quietly posted 48+ DKP in 4 of his last 8 games, and I think he's a mismatch at the 4 against NY.

Thompson is a better play at this $5.6 tag. Brutal matchup, but he should benefit from Cade (likely) missing tonight's game.

Watson has been playing really good ball lately. If he's active and some combination of Aaron Gordon/Jokic is out, I'll be very interested.

Vuk can do serious damage with 20+ minutes. Should be a decent game environment. A volatile play here, so prob better for GPPs only, and maybe large ones at that.

Add Mamu to the list of volatile SAS wings/bigs who could be GPP winners, but also totally sink your lineup due to a funky rotation. However, I'm leaning toward him getting some real burn tonight. It does help that they are even more shorthanded than usual without Vassell, Keldon, and Sochan.

If he plays, he's the top spend-up. Risky after the Q tag today.

Centers have been violating WAS all season, and there is no reason to think that they can stop Sabonis.

Sengun is such a fair price, and Fred VanVleet got the mid-day downgrade. Either way, you're crossing all of your fingers and toes that this one stays close. 60-point upside in a game environment like this.

Sarr is in the mid-range of options that will probably get overlooked. He's been playing great basketball in the second half.

Reed is an uncomfortable click, but without Stew in the mix, he has a chance to A) break the slate in ~18-20 minutes and B) play possible blowout run.

Bismack's range of outcomes is from DNP to slate winner. I think they'll need him tonight.
