NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Tuesday Playbook

I try to not to write all of the hypothetical injury situations up, and who they benefit, or I would be here until next season. But I have to throw SGA out there, who I don't think anyone will be on if no Jalen Williams or Chet Holmgren (while Chet matters less) news drops before lock. By toggling just Jalen off the floor, SGA gets a 3.7% usage bump and a whopping 6.8 more DKP per 36 on average. He would become an awesome GPP play if Williams misses. 

There is no shortage of value today, and a lot of great value is at point guard. But without Donovan Mitchell, Garland is a go-to cash-game option due to a very likely high floor. Early pOWN% projections have his ownership 2x higher on FD than DK. While I don't think he'll come in sub-20% on DK, I'll happily take the discount. Garland has seen a 3.8% usage bump and averages 4.4 more DKP per 36 minutes without Mitchell on the floor this season. What's not to like?

I like the DK tag a little more. You're getting a very inconsistent player here, but he's capable of breaking any slate. ATL presents a great game environment, and Houston has the third-highest implied team total on the board.

Pippen is arguably the second-best per-dollar play on the slate. Ja Morant is out, and we've seen Pippen (usually) hold down big minutes in his absence. Pippen has given us 25+ minutes in six of his last seven games while scoring less than 29 DKP just once during that stretch. He's not a high-usage guy (but he'll flash in the mid-20s), but he'll stuff a stat sheet. He averages 1.16 DKP per minute without Ja on the floor this season. Great matchup vs. Utah is the icing. on the cake, and the price of $5K flats makes you want to grab a second piece. Despite missing Ja, MEM has the highest TT on the board. 

At $4700, CP3 has enough standalone value for me to write up. It's a tough matchup, but if Stephon Castle misses, Paul will shoot up the priority list.

You know the drill. When Spida is out, Jerome is typically good chalk. I do like the DK price more, but he still plays on FanDuel – he just might not end up a core at $1K more. Jerome leads the team in per-36 FPPG without Mitchell on the floor this season – although I don't expect more than 30 minutes. He also sees a 3% usage bump without Mitchell. A great play, especially on DK, in a fine matchup with POR.

Black is an interesting large-field GPP play at $3,800. There are just plenty of safer plays at the ceiling with arguably higher ceilings. However, I'd keep Black in the pool if you are playing a ton of lineups, as ORL is likely without Suggs.

Only a few guys are really sticking out to me at SG right now. Bane is one of them. He' seeing big minutes and will shoulder a bigger load without Ja, as seen by his 61-point bomb with a 32% usage rate two games ago vs. Sacramento. Highest TT on the board tonight.

Tough matchup, but you can sell me on this one if Castle misses. Vassell has been playing huge minutes lately, and he has averaged a big 4.6% usage bump without Wemby, Fox, and Castle on the floor this season.

Minutes are never an issue with Bridges, and we've seen him pop at times this season without KAT or Brunson. Dallas will be without AD, and their defense doesn't really do anything for me.

As of 3 p.m. ET, if you're not using Payne or Bane at SG, Vince Williams might be your next look. He's a low-usage guy, but he should have a slightly expanded role as long as Ja is out. Brandon Clarke being done for the year is also one less body in the rotation.

Payne is the play tonight, and hopefully, he causes us no pain without Brunson and McBride. He should be in line for a massive role. He averages 1.01 DKP per minute without Brunson and McBride on the floor this season. Probably the best play on the board right now.

SF is ugly, but at least you get Paolo on FanDuel tonight. Pretty low TT, but you know who the two alphas are on this team. They'll post high usage rates and floors. We've seen Paolo have a legit 70-point ceiling earlier this month.

Coming off a huge game, worth nothing he's logged usage rates over 30% in four of his last five games.

If you're a FA follower, you know we love some Deni.

Wiggins has been great lately. We saw a career night against Charlotte two days ago. While we can't expect that every night, his usage rates are consistently in the mid-to-high 20s, and he's been hovering around 5-6x value or more on most nights.

Klay becomes interesting without AD, and the additions of Brandon Williams and PJ Washington on the injury report as Q. Personally, I probably need one of PJ or Williams to be out.

Yep, I'm interested. Highest TT on the board, and Jackson has average a usage increase better than 4% without Ja on the floor this season.

Mobley could be a sneaky beneficiary of Mitchell's void. Everyone rightfully flocks to the guards, but there is no reason why he couldn't be a Mobley night instead. You can likely get him around 20% or less if I had to guess.

If he plays and Chet sits, I'd like to grab a few large-field GPP shares.

Without Ja and Clarke in the fold, Aldama should have solidified minutes, and MEM has the highest TT on the board. 

Johnson has been flashing a few good ceiling games, but I think I need Castle out to feel good about him. Keep him on the radar.

Ohhh, KAT has just averaged an 8% usage bump without Brunson and McBride on the floor…..monster number there. Sign me up.

Houston is in such a nice spot vs. Atlanta, but we've barely mentioned any of their players. HOU likes to spread out the usage, but the game environment should be awesome, and Sengun could be on trip-dub watch. He's seeing major minutes in competitive games as the season winds down, and he's tallied 56+ DKP twice in the last five games.

If you've been playing DFS for a while, you know what you're getting out of Bam by now. High floor with an occasional smash game.

Ware's minutes have been really inconsistent, and Spol is kind of difficult to trust, but he's seen 28, 35, and 32 minutes across his last three games. He pretty much crushed at $5,500 in each of those games.
