Welcome back to another edition of the Fantasy Alarm NBA DFS Value Vault. As we saw yesterday, the next two games are going to be pretty wild in terms of what players will play, how many minutes, and what players will play at all as we inch that much close to the playoffs. There will be lots of value spots on today’s slate, so I would recommend paying very close attention to the NBA DFS Chat for breaking news!
DRAFTKINGS
Dillon Brooks ($5,400) – Dillon Brooks has been playing pretty well over his last two games, where he has put up 41.5 and 37.5 DK points. With the absence of Jaren Jackson Jr., and the 15 or more shots that he vacated, it has really been split between Brooks, and Morant over the last two. I fully expect his 32.5% usage rate over those last two games to continue in another must-win game today against a BOS team that has literally nothing to play for today.
JJ Redick ($4,300) – Redick is fresh off a 47 DK fantast point effort in which he landed 10-of-16 shots, with going 8-for-13 from behind the arc, with five rebounds, three dimes, and a steal over 31 minutes played. The Pelicans will literally be without half their team today in Zion, Jrue, and Ingram, so that is a ton of usage that will be left once again. Redick carried almost 24% usage in their last game, and I expect him to have another good game with a high-usage role once again against the Kings today.
Pat Connaughton ($3,400) – Really like the price on Conny today, and I literally see no reason for the Bucks to play their starters more than 14-15 minutes, or no longer than the first half in today’s meaningless game against the Wizards. I fully expect the back-ups to get good run and could even play most of the game. I think Conny will be one of those, as he saw 21 minutes yesterday and put up 24 DK points in that span with 12 points, five boards, two dimes, and a steal.
FANDUEL
Carmelo Anthony ($5,400) – Ill take the smaller price on FanDuel for Melo today with the Blazers in a must-win game against DAL, who could elect to basically sit their starters as they are already locked into the 7-seed for the playoffs. Melo has played really well lately and has topped 31 FD fantasy points in three of his last four. He is taking plenty of shots, and they are going to him quite a bit on the offensive side of the ball. Over the last four games, Melo has taken at least 13 or more FGAs in three of four, while also recording four steals, three blocks, and 7+ rebounds in three of four as well. He should see heavy minutes once again today.
Jerome Robinson ($4,300) – Another play where we can take a smaller price on FanDuel is on JRob here against the Bucks, who literally have nothing to play for today. Robinson has been one of the major bright spots for the Wizards in the bubble, and he has topped 29 FD fantasy points in three of his last four. He has played at least 27 or more minutes in all but one game since entering the bubble also. Let’s not fail to mention that the Wizards could likely be without Shabazz Napier yet again today, and this could make them thin at the guard spot. JRob has been an excellent source of points, while contributing in other categories including assists, steals, and blocks. Like him today in this up-tempo game flow with the Bucks, hopefully against the Buck’s back-ups as well.
Alec Burks ($4,200) – You guys should know my stance on Burks by now. The Sixers are without Simmons, Embiid, Richardson, and both Tobias Harris and Al Horford are both questionable to play today. This could open up some huge usage, and Burks is a high-usage player type. I already like the price, and don’t mind him on either site. Gets a good matchup against the Suns today, and should get ample run, with a usage bump as well. He has now played 23 and 28 minutes in the last two games and has put up over 28 and 28.8 FD fantasy points in both of those as well since getting the extended run.
