Yesterday’s NBA best bets went two of four, and returned +0.69 units profit thanks to the double unit wager on Coby White of the Chicago Bulls. Despite having one of his worst field goal percentages of the season (0-8 from threes, 6-16 total) White began attacking with drives and earned several free throws in the second half. He got off the hook, and that is why searching sportsbooks for the best number is always important. What was a double unit win for Fantasy Alarm, was a loss for others.

The Charlotte Hornets, who were without Mark Willimas, upset the Brooklyn Nets absolutely destroying the same game parlay. Lebron James was injured in the Los Angeles Lakers match versus the Boston Celtics and the Lakers were unable to cover the +7.0 spread due to it. RJ Barrett did score just over the hook, and he had the scenario as Coby White. If a different book was utilized he did not cover the hook. Two point predictions, two winners and another profitable day.

Suns vs Mavericks Prediction: Nick Richards to record a Double-Double (+210 on Bet365)

We kick things off with Sunday's Bet of the Day! The Dallas Mavericks host the Phoenix Suns at American Airlines Center, and the action tips off on ABC at 3:30 PM ET. This is a pivotal match for the tenth seed of the Western Conference. Dallas currently holds a 2.5 game advantage over Phoenix, but the Mavericks are in full tank mode. They recently did it with the same coach and similar roster…. Minus one player. They are seeking a high draft pick, will lose their fifth consecutive match, and eventually drop out of the tenth spot.

For the Suns it would be embarrassing to miss the play-in with a loaded, talented, and healthy roster. Nick Richards was brought in via trade specifically to help them reach the playoffs. He has played more games for the Suns (23) than the Charlotte Hornets (21) this season, and his minutes, points, field goal percentage, and rebounds have all increased with Phoenix.

Richards may not be a name people know, but he is a player Fantasy Alarm will take advantage of with our NBA best bets. His rebounding line is set at 8.5 and his point line is set at 9.5 for today’s match. Richards season per game averages are 8.9 points and 7.5 rebounds. Those are with Charlotte though, he has four double-double games in his last ten matches. Richards has scored 10 or more points in seven of his last ten games, and in every game he records double digit rebounds he has scored ten or more points.

The Mavericks have not brought back any injured player from their front court, and P.J. Washington is still listed as out. Dwight Powell and Kessler Edwards could be the starting center and power forward today, and the Mavericks have allowed the ninth most rebounds to opposing teams this season with an average of 53.7 per game.

Dallas’ performance has been terrible lately, and their rebounding is no exception. Over their last three games they have allowed an average of 56.7 rebounds per game, and allowed 66 in their most recent match. Richards is set for a fantastic night, and instead of taking the over on the rebounds, risk it with one more rebound for a double double. Put a unit on Richards to have a big night against the Mavericks, and help the Suns get one game closer to the play-in.

Pistons vs Blazers Prediction: Jalen Duren U11.5 Rebounds (-115 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Detroit Pistons were in a late night battle against the Golden State Warriors last night, and lost by five points. They then traveled to Portland to play the Trail Blazers today, and the Trail Blazers were able to rest after a seven game road stretch. Portland is playing better since the All-Star break, and with the rest the spread is just -2.5 in favor of the Pistons.

Instead of risking a wager on a tight spread, a player proposition is suggested on Jalen Duren, the starting center of Detroit. Duren played 29 minutes last night and recorded a 13 point, 13 rebound double double. Tonight he will be matched up against the tall front court of Portland, and the Trail Blazers hustle on every play with a bench that enters often.

Portland is only 4.0 games back from tenth, and are playing like a team that wants to be in the play-in. It would be valuable experience for their young roster, and they do not need a lottery pick as much as some teams. Duren will be playing on tired legs and splitting time with Isaiah Stewart, who could play more minutes tonight.

Donovan Clingan is a large force in the middle of Portland’s defense, and Jerami Grant has earned over his rebounding average in his last three matches. Duren has recorded less than 11.5 rebounds in four of his last six matches, and has not recorded back to back games with over 11 rebounds since the All-Star break. Put a unit for him to go under 11.5 rebounds tonight.

Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 3/9

It was difficult deciding which player to put for the the third NBA best bet today, so naturally they are combined in a parlay together.

Parlay Prediction DET vs POR & SAC vs LAC: Anfernee Simons & DeMar DeRozan Each O4.5 Assists (+182 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

A west coast, late game parlay takes place in the prediction of Anfernee Simons of the Portland Trail Blazers and DeMar DeRozan of the Sacramento Kings to each record over 4.5 assists. Both of their individual lines are heavily juiced, but combined it is fantastic odds.

Anfernee Simons plays against the Detroit Pistons who as mentioned are playing the second match in back-to-back nights. Their defense will likely be sluggish but that won’t matter as Simons has five or more assists in five of his last seven matches. Portland has been playing with effort and the Pistons allow 113.1 points per game this season.

Simons is part of a young, talented group of guards for the Trail Blazers, but Simons leads the way in minutes. He has an average of 32.7 minutes per game this season, and has played 36 or more minutes in three of his last four matches. Look for him to lead the way for Portland tonight.

DeMar DeRozan has been a great fit on every team he has been a part of throughout his sixteen year NBA career. Sometimes people forget how long and healthy his tenure has been, and he has been excellent for the Sacramento Kings this season.

He has played in all but five games this season, and his per game season averages are; 35.9 minutes, 22.2 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and a 48.6% field goal percentage. DeRozan’s assists numbers have been significantly up lately. Perhaps it is due to the signing of Zach Lavine, his former teammate in Chicago, or De’Aaron Fox being traded away to San Antonio. Either way the data indicates DeRozan’s assists have been much higher, and that should continue.

He has recorded over 4.5 assists in seven of his last ten matches, and over the Los Angeles Clippers last three matches they have allowed an average of 27.7 assists per game. Sacramento is currently in ninth place of the Western Conference but only 2.0 games back from sixth. They need every victory they can earn to get into the playoffs and out of the play-in. DeRozan will be trusted to run offenses and will be looking for his teammates. Look for him to earn over 4.5 assists tonight.

Put a unit on the west coast assists parlay at DraftKings today.
