The Mavericks are without PJ Washington and Anthony Davis, opening up two spots in the starting lineup. While Marshall has been worth rostering in standard leagues whether he starts or comes off the bench, that has not been the case for Edwards. Also, with this being the 50th game Edwards has been active for this season, this may be his last appearance in a Mavericks uniform unless he’s given a standard contract.

Dallas is listing Edwards as inactive Friday against the Pistons. The 25-year-old small forward has been a starter for the Mavericks, but players on two-way contracts are only eligible for 50 games in a season and Edwards is already at 49. The Mavs are saving Edwards’ eligibility for another night.

Edwards has been a consistent starter for about a month, but this type of production is something that he hasn’t ever done. He set a new career-high for both points and rebounds on Monday and recorded the second double-double of his career, with the other one coming during his rookie year back in 2021. Edwards has been a solid role player for multiple teams since being drafted in the second round, but that hasn’t let to much fantasy production. However, he has provided top-50 value over the past week. It’s a small sample size, but with how many injuries Dallas is dealing with, he is worth considering as a streamer.
