There was some great basketball and some blowouts yesterday, and Fantasy Alarm ended the month with another profitable day. Andrew Wiggins did not play for the Miami Heat, voiding that bet, and the Boston Celtics had an epic breakdown in the fourth quarter allowing the Cleveland Cavaliers to steal a road game. Thus ruining the spread unless the ticket was chased out.

Scottie Barnes came through for Fantasy Alarm once again. It took until overtime but Barnes covered his rebounding line, earning his eighth with under two minutes remaining in the match. He scored 24 points, easily going over the required 20 points for this two fold same game parlay. Thus cashing the +200 ticket and giving this column a profit of +1.02 units.

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 3/1

There are six games today, and four of them feature spread over 8.5. The expectation is for there to be blowouts, including the Golden State Warriors vs Philadelphia 76ers, and you can check out my predictions for that match at Wageralarm. One of the projected close matches is an Eastern Conference cellar dweller, top draft pick showdown! And it features the Bet of the Night.

Wizards vs Hornets Prediction: CHA Moneyline, Mark Williams 10+ R & 10+ P (+120 SGP on Bet365) *BET OF THE NIGHT

Every Saturday Bet365 offers a promotion ‘Slam Dunk Saturday’, which if you bet at least $50 on a three fold parlay with a total of over +100 odds, you receive a FREE $25 bet regardless of the outcome. This bet qualifies for the promotion and as long as your wager is $50, you will receive the bonus. This is also a great bet to take advantage of.

The Charlotte Hornets host the Washington Wizards, and they are the two worst teams in the Association. They have a combined 24 wins, Washington 10 and Charlotte 14, and it is highly unlikely they reach a combined 35 this season. But one team will win today, that is guaranteed. Charlotte is the better team, and have a great chance to end their losing streak at the Spectrum Center. The spread is at -4.0, but we are not risking a spread on the second worst team in the Association, add the moneyline as the base of this parlay.

Mark Williams has been a player we have been tracking in the Fantasy Alarm Betting Bungalow. He has been putting up consistent numbers, he was not wanted from the team that traded him nor traded for him, and we are going to take advantage of it. Williams has scored ten or more points in his last four games, and is averaging 15.4 points per game this season. He is known for his rebounding and has 9 or more rebounds in three of his last four matches. Williams is averaging 9.7 rebounds per game, and has 12 or more rebounds in his last two games. He is capable of a double double every night, and he has another great opportunity to record another versus the Wizards.

Washington allows 121.2 points per game, which is the most in the Association. They also allow the most rebounds per game with 56.1. The numbers indicate Williams could well exceed the teased down lines, but this bet is all about winning and receiving a free $25 bet in the process. Put a unit on Williams and the Hornets to play well today.

Spurs vs Grizzlies Prediction: Under 244 (-108 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

The San Antonio Spurs travel to Tennessee to take on the Memphis Grizzlies at the beautiful FedExForum. This features a match up between teams on opposite ends of the Western Conference. Memphis is currently in third place and San Antonio in thirteenth, which is why the spread is set at -9.5, the second highest spread of the day.

This match does have the highest projected total of any match today and that is partially why Fantasy Alarm is taking the under. Memphis has an outstanding offense, scoring 123.1 points per game, the most in the Association. However they only mustered up 113 last night against the terrible defense of the New York Knicks. Even worse, they lost by one point and played a tough match throughout the game, they will be playing on tired legs tonight against the Spurs.

The NBA allows defenses to play tougher after the All-Star break, and it puts pressure on guards in the backcourt. De’Aaron Fox is feeling it, and is having trouble adjusting to his new role in San Antonio. The loss of Victor Wembanyama, paired with the news of Greg Popovich not returning, has taken out what little ‘giddy-up’ the Spurs had. They have lost four in a row, only average 112.4 points per game, and are not near the offensive team without Wembanyama.

The fact that Memphis is not scoring at their average, the Spurs are playing terribly, their leaders not returning, the Grizzlies are playing in back-to-back games, and fewer whistles indicate an under is the smart bet. Put a unit on it.

Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 3/01

The one true interesting match today is the Milwaukee Bucks versus the Dallas Mavericks, and the last bet of today comes from that match.

Bucks vs Mavericks Prediction: Kyle Kuzma Over 7.5 Rebounds (+105 on Bet365)

The Dallas Mavericks have been allowing several rebounds over their last few games, and rightfully so. They have been without  three centers (Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively, Dwight Powell), plus Anthony Davis and Caleb Martin. That is practically the entire front court, and relying on deeper minutes from smaller players is not a recipe for it to stop.

P.J. Washington, the Mavericks starting power forward, has been starting at center but is listed as day-to-day and could miss this match. Moses Brown is listed as the starting center and did earn 11 rebounds in Dallas’ most recent match, but he is not the force that Lively and Gafford are. They will have a difficult time keeping the Bucks front court out of the paint tonight.

Kyle Kuzma has been giving a breath of fresh air, if not a new life. He spent almost four seasons with the Washington Wizards in the bottom of the NBA, but is now on the fourth place Milwaukee Bucks. He is not expected to be the best player on the team, as he was in Washington, but expected to be a great rebounder and scorer when needed. Giannis Antetokounmpo does most of the work, but Kuzma has shined in his new role.

He is averaging just 5.8 rebounds per game this season, but that number has improved while with the Bucks. He has seven or more rebounds in six of his last nine matches, and the sportsbooks have jumped his line up instead of juicing it at 6.5. Kuzma is getting playing time, which almost always increases the odds of him going over on his player props.

He has played 34 or more minutes in eight straight games. Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable today, but he will likely play without limitations. That shouldn’t stop Kuzma from earning eight or more rebounds against a team that has allowed 62.0 rebounds per game over their last three games, and 64 in their most recent match. Put a unit on the plus odd proposition pick and take advantage of the offer from Bet365 below if you are a new customer.
