NBA Best Bets Today, 3/4: Picks, Predictions & Player Props - Tuesday

Of yesterday’s NBA predictions on player props between Zach Lavine, Malik Beasley, and Mark Williams, only Mark Williams was able to deliver. He did so on a plus odds proposition and kept the damage under a unit.
Malik Beasley was well on his way to covering over 16.5 points with 11 in the first half. However, the Detroit Pistons easily beat the tanking Utah Jazz, and Beasley’s offense was not needed. Zach Lavine was never close to seven rebounds as Jonas Valanciunas is reminding everyone what a great rebounder he is.
NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 3/4
There are nine games in the Association, and several matches with a spread of -5.0 or less.
One of those matches happens to be in the Bet of the Night.
Rockets vs. Pacers Prediction: Indiana -3.5 (-110 on Bet365) *BET OF THE NIGHT
The Indiana Pacers host the Houston Rockets at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to begin today’s NBA action. They also kick off our NBA Best Bets today, and the spread is in play. The Rockets played against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a high scoring match as the Thunder beat the Rockets 137-128, and a lot of energy was utilized in that match.
Rockets All-Star Alperen Sengun did not play yesterday, likely in anticipation for this match. Can he be enough to overcome a hot Pacers team? Indiana has won six of their last ten games and are scoring 116.6 points per game, almost four more than the Rockets. They have scored over 120 in five of their last seven matches and enjoyed a day’s rest yesterday. They are also holding their opponents to 115.3 points as well.
Tyrese Haliburton is playing in peak form and elevating his play for another deep playoff push. Since the All-Star break he has scored 17 or more points in every game and has a double-double in all but one. The double-doubles have been accomplished with assists as he dishes out dimes to his teammates. The one game he didn’t have double-digit assists, he recorded nine. Haliburton also has three or more steals in all but one match since the all-star break.
The Pacers are in a tight three team race for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. They should continue to play well and have an advantage over the Houston Rockets who lost in a tough match, then flew across the country before, and lost an hour of time all before arriving at their hotel. Put a unit on the Pacers to cover a low spread.
Cavaliers vs. Bulls SGP Prediction: Cleveland -4.5, Allen 15+ Points & 10+ Rebounds (+325 on Bet365)
A fun same game parlay is built in a Central Division showdown between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Chicago Bulls. The best and the worst of the division meet in what should be an easy victory for the Cavaliers. The United Center has not been kind to the Bulls who have a 11-21 home record, and there probably won’t be much to cheer about in this match.
The Bulls have four of their listed starters as out or day-to-day, the tank is in full go mode for Chicago. Nikola Vucevic is out another game and Jarrett Allen, starting center of the Cavaliers, numbers should go up. In addition to that, and more importantly, teammate Evan Mobley will be out. They are a powerful front court, but Allen will be charged with double duty today.
His point line has been teased up for that reason, not much though. It is suggested to pick 15+ points on the alternate line. His rebounding line on the over/under was not available at Bet365 but has been teased down to 10+ rebounds. He should easily cover both of those propositions against a weak Bulls front court.
The Cavaliers have a high spread, but they should cover -12.5. Just to be safe the spread has been teased down to -4.5. That should cover any second unit heroics from the Bulls, and accounts for the Cavaliers having a bad game. Put a unit on the teased same game parlay with fantastic odds.
Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 3/4
Fantasy Alarm has found consistency in a couple centers that were not on our fantasy or betting board to begin the season.
The last prediction in our NBA Best Bets today is on one of those players.
Raptors vs. Magic Prediction: Wendell Carter Jr. O8.5 Rebounds (-105 on DraftKings)
Wendell Carter Jr. has been a reliable center since the All-Star break. He has won three player props with the over, despite sharing minutes with Goga Bitadze. His rebounding line is set at 8.5, and the over is recommended once again. It was very tempting to put a unit on his double-double at +250 but the Orlando Magic did play the same team two days ago. Scoring might not come as easy for Carter who averages only 9.0 points per game.
His rebounding has not been in question though. He has nine or more rebounds in all but one game since the All-Star break, the one game he did not was against the power duo of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. However Carter is playing the Toronto Raptors for the second consecutive game, and he earned nine rebounds in the previous match.
The expectation is for him to have about the same number of minutes, if not a little more. Carter earned nine rebounds in thirty-two minutes of game time. As long as he plays near those minutes there is no reason he cannot go over his average of 7.5 per game. The Magic are in a three-game battle for seventh place, and that has more importance with the structure of the play-in.
Look for Carter to establish himself early and clear his rebounding line early in the fourth quarter. Put a unit down, at near even odds, for him to do it once again.
