Yesterday’s bet of the night came up short with Nick Richards covering his rebounding line, but came up one short of covering the double-double. The hook was not limited to Richards either; Jalen Duren covered his proposition by 0.5 rebounds with less than two minutes remaining in the game.

DeMar DeRozan easily covered his assists line in the first half, but Anfernee Simons was nowhere close to five assists. It was a rough day for NBA predictions. That is old news as Monday comes with new opportunities to earn a positive return on investment.

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 3/10

It is a loaded slate across the Association today. There are twelve games in the NBA, and all but six teams are playing today.

The first of our NBA best bets today features the Los Angeles Lakers vs. the Brooklyn Nets.

Lakers vs. Nets Prediction: LA ML, Doncic O9.5 Rebounds, Russell 15+ Points (+305 on DraftKings) *0.5U BET OF THE NIGHT

DraftKings is offering a ‘no sweat bet’ for a Same Game Parlay with three or more wagers, and all predictions have -500 or better odds. This bet qualifies for the promotional offer, and if you are a new customer make sure to take advantage of Fantasy Alarm’s promotional code.

The Lakers will be without LeBron James tonight, and possibly longer. He was playing some of the best basketball of the season and led Los Angeles to an eight-game win streak. Now it is time for Luka Doncic to fill the void in his absence, and part of that void is rebounds. James recorded 34 rebounds in his last three matches and earned 12 or more in five of the Lakers last seven matches.

Doncic has had an underwhelming rebounding season, averaging just 8.3 rebounds per game. That is his lowest total in four seasons, but with James leaving a void of over 10 rebounds per game Doncic must exert more effort. He will need to body into a smaller Brooklyn lineup to earn ten or more rebounds. However, Doncic has recorded ten or more rebounds in four of his last nine matches and should cover the rebounding line tonight.

D’Angelo Russell had an excellent match against the Charlotte Hornets, earning 28 points in 29 minutes of court time. He recently missed five games but should be good to go against his former team and has played 24 or more minutes per game since returning. He is averaging just 14.1 points per game this season, but Brooklyn is relying on him for more offensive production.

Russell’s point line is set at 16.5 on DraftKings, and this is the only line that is teased down in this SGP. 15+ points on the alternate line allows us to get closer to his average should the Lakers play with tougher defense tonight. The combined odds are +305 and with a 0.5-unit wager, this play for our NBA best bets today returns over 1.5 units profit.

Jazz vs. Celtics Prediction: Kyle Filipowski O6.5 Rebounds (-105 on DraftKings)

The young rookie, Kyle Filipowski makes his first appearance for NBA picks, and for good reason too. The former Duke Blue Devil is coming into March like a lion, earning several minutes and displaying to the Utah Jazz that they made a great selection with their second-round pick.

Most second round players have to wait until the next year or drop to the G League to get meaningful playing time. Filipowski has played 24 or more minutes in Utah’s last five games. He has been scoring great, 17 or more points in each of his last four games, and his rebounding has been great, despite concerns of his wingspan.

Filipowski has seven or more rebounds in five of his last six games and has recorded double digit numbers in four of his last ten matches. Despite the Jazz having a loaded front court in Walker Kessler and John Collins, Collins is out, and Kessler is listed as day-to-day. Isaiah Collier is the only starter without an injury designation and that should help Filipowski earn more minutes tonight.

Boston will be without Kristaps Porzingis and that will also help the Jazz earn more rebounds. Filipowski should play over 25 minutes and have another great rebounding game, despite ‘only’ being 6’ 10” and having a short wingspan. Put a unit for him to cover the near even odds proposition against the Boston Celtics.

Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 3/10

The race for Cooper Flagg is on!

The NBA draft lottery is an entertaining and unpredictable event. And the last of our NBA best bets today covers two teams in that chase.

Wizards vs. Raptors Prediction: Scottie Barnes O7.5 Rebounds (-115 on Bet365)

The Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards had a dramatic finish in Scotiabank Arena in their most recent match. A called off game winning shot for the home team left the crowd and team stunned. Now the Raptors host the Wizards for a rematch and look for a better result. To their credit the Raptors were playing in the second of back-to-back matches and have had a full day’s rest to recover for today’s game.

In the last match Fantasy Alarm took RJ Barrett to cover his points, and he did. But in this match, we return back to Scottie Barnes, and this time look at his rebounding line. This best bet has an opportunity to be the third consecutive winning Raptors prediction in as many games. The data and film suggest Barnes is due for another massive rebounding game.

We purposely took off from Barnes on the second of back-to-back due to fatigueness and the fact that center Jakob Poeltl was back in the rotation. Tonight, the Raptors are well rested, and Poeltl is out of the lineup, to help improve the Raptors chances of earning Flagg in the draft. Barnes is averaging 7.8 rebounds per game this season and has 12 or more rebounds in two of his last three matches. He has recorded 7.5 or more rebounds in five of his last nine matches and without Poeltl will likely be the team’s leading rebounder.

Teasing up the line is not a bad option, but the goal today is to have winners. The odds of -115 are decent and a unit is suggested on Barnes to record over 7.5 rebounds against the worst rebounding team in the Association.
