Halloween was good to Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets, as a complete sweep took place with three bets cashing, and they cashed with ease.

James Harden and Alperen Sengun and James Harden went over their lines in the early third quarter, while Zubac earned his 11th rebound early in the fourth quarter.

The sweep puts us right back in the positive unit count, and we look for more winners with today’s NBA predictions too.

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 11/1

The only thing better than raking the sportsbooks on one night’s NBA best bets, is doing it multiple nights in a row.

Today there is a betting sampler of picks and predictions. A straight bet, parlay, and player prop ‘tip off’ the first of the month… payday.

Celtics vs. Hornets Prediction: Total Over 231.5 (-115 on BetMGM)

The total on this game is a bit low, but I found out why the sportsbooks set it at this line. The Celtcis allow 114.4 points per game, and the Hornets allow 119.3 points per game. Together that would be 233.7 points, a little more than this line.

However, Boston’s games have gone under the total in 8 of their last 11 games, not their last game against the Pacers which we bet and won on. In that game Boston scored 132 points and lost the game. In Charlotte’s last game they scored 138 points, barely edging out the Toronto Raptors

Tonight both of these teams will likely abandon what little defense they have, and make this game an all out score-a-thon. Back and forth, up and down the court, field goal after field goal. If looking at other NBA picks on this match, avoid the under on most props as this could be the highest scoring game of the day.

Bulls vs. Nets Prediction: Nikola Vucevic U10.5 Rebounds + O1.5 Threes Made (+325 on DraftKings) *0.50 Unit

The rare SGP is mentioned in my NBA best bets today. It is rare to see a parlay on best bets due their low success rate, but this is not a wild, multiple parlay strung out across the night. This is a simple 2 fold parlay on one player in bets that have a correlation.

Nikola Vucevic was once regarded as a top three rebounder in the league; indeed, it is how he earned an All-Star selection during his time with the Orlando Magic. The 14-year vet is now in his fifth year with the Chicago Bulls and his role has shifted. As has the philosophy of the NBA.

First and foremost almost every 32 or older NBA veteran does not have the springs in their legs that they did at 18-25. That is to say that most people’s vertical jump decreases as they age, and Vucevic is no exception. However, the Bulls have found another way to use their excellent big man… on the perimeter.

The modern NBA is truly a 3 league, and something us older, long time hoop heads rarely saw was Patrick Ewing or Alonzo Mourning attempting threes (unless it was on NBA Jam). Vucevic has adapted his game to extend his time in the NBA, and he is excelling at it. He has attempted 24 threes in five games, or almost 5 attempts per game, and he has made two or more in three of those games.

The arrival of 6’ 8” Josh Giddy has eased the responsibility of Vucevic’s rebounding as well. The modern era dictates having several 3-point attempts for both teams, and we are rolling on the big man from Montenegro. He has a chance to deliver on a unique betting angle, which he has done twice this year. As with most parlays a half a unit is recommended.

Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 11/1

It is rare for an under on the rebounds in this NBA predictions column, but this could be the first time that two under rebounding props have been mentioned on the same day.

Anthony Davis is playing at an MVP level to begin the season. One of the highest scorers, one the better rebounders, and his defense has been phenomenal too.

Lakers vs. Raptors Prediction: Anthony Davis Under 13.5 Rebounds (+100 on DraftKings)

Tonight, the Lakers play the Raptors who will be without their best player, Scottie Barnes. Barnes will be reevaluated in 3-4 weeks with an orbital fracture, and we wish him a quick recovery. He is also one of their better rebounders, but Jakob Poeltl is an underrated rebounder.

Poeltl rarely gets mentioned due to playing with two of lowest winning percentage teams his entire career (Toronto and San Antonio Spurs), but make no mistake about it, he’s an elite rebounder.

He has 45 rebounds in his last three games, and could be a problem on the glass for Anthony Davis. In addition to that the Lakers could blow out the Raptors and rest Anthony Davis most, if not all, of the fourth quarter.

Davis has 14 or more rebounds in just 2 of 5 games this season, and 14 rebounds is several against another great rebounder. Davis is a great basketball player, and it is rare to go against his over on props, but my NBA best bets today call for him to have 13 or less rebounds.
