Meatloaf is back on the menu, and it is about time! Two of three NBA best bets were successful including the double-unit wager on Christian Braun at almost even odds. The Well, Nikola Vucevic, delivered also, and together they brought in +1.81 units.

It could have been a sweep, but Scottie Barnes amassed just four points, four rebounds and played less thirty minutes for the first time in over ten games. All's well that ends well, and if every betting day could end with +1.81, the our NBA Best Bets Betting Bungalow would be thrilled.

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 1/30

There are five scheduled games today, two of which are nationally televised matches on TNT.

The first match in TNT’s double header features a Western Conference thriller.

Rockets vs. Grizzlies Prediction: Houston Money Line (+160 on Bet365) *Bet of the Night

The Memphis Grizzlies host the Houston Rockets at the FedexForum, in what should be an exciting game. It features two of the top three Western Conference teams, as the Rockets are second and the Grizzlies are third. Yet the Grizzlies are favorites at home by -4.5 points.

Just yesterday Fantasy Alarm stated it was staying away from straight bets, but the sportsbooks have been sleeping on the Rockets. They have won four in a row, and eight of their last ten, and look like legitimate contenders for the Larry O’Brien. Despite that they are still underdogs.

Dillon Brooks can tilt a court in favor of his team’s advantage and has displayed it at multiple franchises. One of those franchises was the Memphis Grizzlies, and there's no love lost for Brooks and his former city. Look for Brooks to be a menace on defense, slowing down Memphis’ pace.

The Rockets are going to press the Grizzlies as different philosophies take the court. The Grizzlies score 123.3 points per game and the Rockets only allow 108.2 points per game. Something has to give or at least some middle ground must be found, which should benefit Houston.

Count on the better, healthier, and rolling team to walk away with a victory. Houston will have their fifth consecutive victory, and Memphis their second loss in a row. Put a unit on the plus odd straight bet.

Magic vs. Trail Blazers Prediction: DeAndre Ayton Over 10.5 Rebounds (-110 on DraftKings)

The Portland Trail Blazers are fresh off a win and have won five of their last ten games. They had a small run earlier this season, but this is their first chance to be above .500 in a ten-game stretch. They are hosting the Orlando Magic who are back to .500 (24-24) after a great start. They have lost eight of their last ten games and lost their most recent match.

The Trail Blazers have the momentum, and DeAndre Ayton has the stats to back up his rebounding. He has recorded 13 or more rebounds in each of his last three games and played over 34 minutes in each game. Put simply Ayton looks healthy, looks himself, and he will be the biggest guy on the court tonight.

The Orlando Magic do allow the third fewest rebounds to other teams, 50.3 per game. However they have allowed 55.0 per game over their last three games, and have a slightly worse average on the road. Orlando is not playing well either, which leads to more missed field goals and more opportunities for Ayton to earn rebounds.

Put a unit for the big man to deliver at the Moda Center.

NBA Player Props & Other Picks Today, 1/30

There is a player with a chance to earn his third successful proposition wager for the Fantasy Alarm Betting Bungalow.

So today, our NBA best bets put two units on our favorite Jazz player.

Timberwolves vs. Jazz Prediction: Walker Kessler Over 9.5 Rebounds (-120 Bet365) *2.0 Units

The Utah Jazz host the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Delta Center with an 8:00 PM local start time. Some say nothing good happens after the sun goes down, and that’s when you need a ranger patrolling the court. Walker Utah Ranger Kessler is just the man for the job too.

A seven-foot rebounding machine, that is the center point of several trade rumors, will look to scoop anything that bounces off the rim. The Jazz seem content to play for a high-end lottery draft pick, and Kessler is being displayed as trade bait for teams with a chance to contend. Utah has been giving an interesting amount of rest to certain players, but Kessler is expected to be a full go tonight after sitting out back-to-back games.

The Minnesota Timberwolves played last night in a tough match against the Phoenix Suns. Kessler will enjoy playing against tired legs, and the Delta Center is the second highest NBA arena at 4,265 feet above sea level. The Timberwolves will be huffing and puffing on the second of back to back games.

Not that Kessler needs much help, even against former Utah legend Rudy Gobert. Kessler has ten or more rebounds in his last three matches and five of his last six. Unlike the Timberwolves players Kessler has enjoyed four days of rest and should be snagging anything that doesn’t go through the basket.

Put two units on Fantasy Alarm’s favorite desert cowboy to do what he does best. Rebound.
