Point Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Luka Doncic | DAL | 4 | INJ: Doncic missed his last game with an injured Thumb and his status is up in the air heading into Monday's match up. Don't be shocked if he sits versus the weak Bulls. |
2 | D'Angelo Russell | MIN | 4 | Russell will continue being far and away the top option for the Timberwolves until/if Karl-Anthony Towns returns. Expect him to have similar numbers as he did with the Warriors. |
3 | Trae Young | ATL | 3 | Young has the eternal green light and without getting much help from under the basket (besides John Collins ), he'll have to handle more of the offense. |
4 | Russell Westbrook | HOU | 4 | Westbrook has a full slate of games but he will likely sit on either Saturday or Sunday because the Rockets have a back to back. |
5 | Chris Paul | OKC | 4 | The Thunder's three-headed Monster in their backcourt of Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dennis Schroder will continue handling most of the offense. Paul has been bery productive in the 4th quarter. |
6 | De'Aaron Fox | SAC | 4 | Fox will continue keeping the Kings offense moving at a quicker pace and they've been playing better lately despite missing frontcourt options. He was a bit banged up last week, but should be 100%. |
7 | Spencer Dinwiddie | BKN | 4 | Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert will be the prioritized scorers for the rest of the way and we'll never have to worry about a shortage of shots and/or minutes with Kyrie Irving out of the way. |
8 | Malcolm Brogdon | IND | 4 | Brogdon should see a few more shots with Jeremy Lamb out for the rest of the season. Victor Oladipo is starting to play more minutes and he'll get more involved in the offense as each week passes. |
9 | Ja Morant | MEM | 4 | The Grizzlies frontcourt is banged up and Morant will have to continue forcing himself inside to show opposing teams that they are still a threat in the paint. He should win Rookie Of The Year. |
10 | Lonzo Ball | NO | 4 | Ball has been able to continue to produce even with the Pelicans rotation looking a bit deeper. Even though he'll be in a constant battle for shots, his minutes are safe and he's a four-category producer. |
11 | Eric Bledsoe | MIL | 4 | Bledsoe will see more shots if Khris Middleton has to sit for a game with Neck pain. Bledsoe is the third scoring option and he'll continue to help with boards and steals as well. |
12 | Dennis Schroder | OKC | 4 | Schroder leads the Thunder's second unit in scoring and they'll let him close out games and he's been good at keeping the Thunder moving quickly and there will never be a shortage of shots for him. |
13 | Kyle Lowry | TOR | 3 | Lowry will remain a big part of the offense with Marc Gasol still out and now Fred VanVleet is once again banged up and he may have to miss more games and that would help Lowry's assists rise a bit. |
14 | Goran Dragic | MIA | 4 | Dragic has been excellent off the bench and he gets a lot of shots with the Heat's second unit. He is a bit better of a ball-handler than Kendrick Nunn and he's been able to stay healthy. |
15 | Elfrid Payton | NY | 4 | Payton is one of the Knicks prioritized scorers because they are very light in depth and can't rely on many other options to hit long-range shots and he'll help with boards, dimes and steals as well. |
16 | Dejounte Murray | SAS | 4 | Murray's role is safe, but if his shots aren't falling, he will shy away and other guards will get more looks. Murray will help with steals on the perimeter and he'll even grab a few long boards. |
17 | Kendrick Nunn | MIA | 4 | Nunn will see more shots with Tyler Herro still out and he'll get a good amount of time with the ball. He's got strong speed and has no fears driving through traffic to get to the basket. |
18 | Devonte' Graham | CHA | 3 | Graham has helped out a bit more with assists recently as he's not taking every shot he see's anymore. If he's not hitting his shots, he'll pass off a lot more. |
19 | Mike Conley | UT | 4 | Conley has put together a few strong scoring games lately. He's better off coming off the bench and having a Dennis Schroder -type role, but Utah may want to start him at the end of the day. |
20 | Kemba Walker | BOS | 4 | INJ: Walker is still missing games with a Knee injury but he hasn't officially been ruled out for the Celtics first game of the week on Tuesday and the Celtics have a full slate of games. |
Shooting Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | James Harden | HOU | 4 | Harden has a full slate of games and he'll see even more usage once we hit the weekend because Westbrook is bound to sit out either Saturday or Sunday. |
2 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 4 | Beal is another player with the eternal green light and he'll continue putting up a ton of shots. The Wizards frontcourt has been a bit banged up this year and they are just getting back into rhythm. |
3 | Jimmy Butler | MIA | 4 | Butler is back in full force and he'll continue being the prioritized scorer for Miami and as always he'll help big time with boards and steals. |
4 | Zach LaVine | CHI | 4 | It's really sad to say that LaVine is the lone healthy player on this team. Even Tomas Satoransky is banged up now. Lauri Markkanen isn't ready to return and Wendell Carter Jr. will be restricted. |
5 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 4 | Holiday improved once we were past the All-Star break and he'll get a good amount of time to run the point as well and that'll help him compile more dimes. |
6 | Khris Middleton | MIL | 4 | INJ: Middleton missed his last two games with a sore Neck and his status for Monday's game is still undetermined. He almost made it back for Sunday's game but was held out. |
7 | Donovan Mitchell | UT | 4 | Mitchell owners should hope that the Jazz separate he and Conley and not play them as much together. He needs to be the Spider that he is and have the ability to make his mark all over the court. |
8 | DeMar DeRozan | SAS | 4 | DeRozan will see his usage go up this week if LaMarcus Aldridge needs to continue to sit. Sadly, the Spurs don't has much consistency beyond DeRozan and Aldridge. |
9 | CJ McCollum | POR | 4 | McCollum will continue to see a lot more shots as the Blazers stand-in top option until Damian Lillard returns. It's uncertain if we'll see Lillard return to action this week. |
10 | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | OKC | 4 | Gilgeous-Alexander is not just a scorer as he's shown the ability to fight through screens on both sides of the ball and he'll certainly help grab long boards and steals. |
11 | Buddy Hield | SAC | 4 | Hield has been able to put up a lot of shots coming off the bench. The Kings have a lot of shooters and Hield will ultimately benefit when he's featured a bit more with the second unit. |
12 | Jaylen Brown | BOS | 4 | Brown will get more time with the ball if Walker continues to sit. He'll get more time to create and drive to the basket. He always moves around with the ball making him a threat all over the court. |
13 | Evan Fournier | ORL | 4 | Fournier may not help much in any other category besides scoring consistently, but the shots are there so the scoring floor should be safe. He'll help somewhat with dimes and steals. |
14 | Marcus Smart | BOS | 4 | Smart will be the big beneficiary of Walker's minutes if he continues to sit out. He earns his spot because of his defense alone and he'll find a way to get open from the arc off the ball. |
15 | Devin Booker | PHX | 3 | Booker will see more shots for the rest of the way with Kelly Oubre Jr. looking like his season is over and he'll even get time to run the point and has helped a good amount with assists this season. |
16 | Collin Sexton | CLE | 4 | Sexton has been a strong scorer this year even with Andre Drummond on the team. He'll play deep into games as the Cavs want him to get in as many reps as possible. |
17 | Josh Hart | NO | 4 | Hart will benefit from JJ Redick being injured and he'll get more SG minutes. He'll continue to steal SF minutes when Brandon Ingram needs a rest with Kenrich Williams still banged up. |
18 | Caris LeVert | BKN | 4 | LeVert has been staking his claim as the prioritized scorer and he'll likely overtake Dinwiddie for the spot real soon. Expect him to take a lot of shots and he'll help grab boards and steals. |
19 | Dillon Brooks | MEM | 4 | Brooks will get a lot of open shots playing next to Morant because when Morant drives, opposing defenses will often collapse on him at the top of the paint and he'll have to pass off often to Brooks. |
20 | Fred VanVleet | TOR | 3 | INJ: VanVleet is dealing with a Shoulder injury and it has cost him his last two games. The Raptors first game of the week is on Tuesday and we'll have to wait and see if he can make it back. |
Small Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | LeBron James | LAL | 3 | Even with three games James gets the top spot. He's definitely in the running for MVP and he'll spend a lot of his time running the point and his usage will go up if Anthony Davis needs to sit again. |
2 | Brandon Ingram | NO | 4 | Ingram has been able to hold value, but his ceiling is certainly lower with Zion Williamson around. What's good about Ingram is that he can also run the point and he'll help produce assists. |
3 | Kawhi Leonard | LAC | 3 | Leonard is not facing any kind of back to back this week. We'll have to see how his scoring is impacted this week with Paul George playing full minutes again. |
4 | Gordon Hayward | BOS | 4 | Hayward continues to show his ability to play more in the post and he's been grabbing more boards this year because he's setting up more at the elbow and paint to start rather than hang at the arc. |
5 | T.J. Warren | IND | 4 | Warren's value is safe for the rest of the season with Jeremy Lamb done. Victor Oladipo getting more and more involved was expected to hinder him a bit, but his combo-forward role is safe. |
6 | Taurean Prince | BKN | 4 | Prince is a very up and down scorer and it's frustrating because the Nets have him camp out at the arc a lot and he has the ability to slash and draw contact. He'll help with boards and steals. |
7 | Harrison Barnes | SAC | 4 | Barnes will continue seeing a lot of shots with other players needed in the low post but sometimes all you get is scoring from Barnes. Need more rebounding from him. |
8 | Bogdan Bogdanovic | SAC | 4 | Bogdanovic will help run the point when Fox needs a break and he tends to see more shots with Fox off the court. When Fox is on the court, he hangs at the arc a bit more. |
9 | Joe Harris | BKN | 4 | Harris will provide help on both sides of the ball and Garrett Temple shouldn't impede too much on his minutes. Harris can help run the point if needed and he'll grab steals as well. |
10 | Tim Hardaway Jr. | DAL | 4 | Hardaway will certainly see more shots if Doncic needs to sit again. His role is safe as the Mavs third scoring option, but his stock rises a ton when Doncic is out of the way. |
11 | Joe Ingles | UT | 4 | Ingles has been helpful in many areas this season and he plays 30 minutes a game. He can fill in at three different positions if needed and he'll help grab boards and dish dimes. |
12 | Tobias Harris | PHI | 3 | Harris will continue being the Sixers top scoring option until Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons return to action. Josh Richardson being in the Concussion protocol also helps Harris fantasy stock this week. |
13 | Duncan Robinson | MIA | 4 | Robinson is mainly used as a bailout scorer on offense, but he gets the minutes and can play multiple positions. He's been grabbing minutes left behind by the injured Herro. |
14 | Terrence Ross | ORL | 4 | Ross will continue leading Orlando's second unit in scoring and he'll even get time to play on the ball during portions of games. He'll also grab long boards and steals on defense. |
15 | Troy Brown Jr. | WSH | 4 | Brown's scoring is all over the place, but he's been helpful producing boards and steals. His impact on defense should keep him in games longer, but for some reason he's played under 20 minutes lately. |
16 | Danuel House Jr. | HOU | 4 | House will often have competition for shots especially with Eric Gordon being 100 percent again, but later in the week, when Westbrook sits, he'll benefit by getting more shots. |
17 | Dorian Finney-Smith | DAL | 4 | Finney-Smith will continue being the screen-setting minutes eater and he'll get fed at the arc a good amount. Expect him to help more with boards and steals. |
18 | Cedi Osman | CLE | 4 | Osman's minutes and shots are safe. He's strictly a bailout shooter and is out there to help stretch the floor a bit. Andre Drummond controls the paint and Cavs forwards need to stay out of his way. |
19 | Rudy Gay | SAS | 4 | Gay will see more shots if Aldridge continues to sit. We can't always rely on his scoring though. He has blocked shots and grabbed steals in his last two games and his minutes will go up if Aldridge sits. |
20 | Will Barton | DEN | 3 | Barton has struggled a bit lately and seeing him on the court, he's not moving around as quick which makes me worried he's injured. Hopefully, he'll lift those rebounding numbers this week. |
Power Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 4 | The Greek Freak not only has a full slate of game, but the Bucks second option Middleton is also hurt and may have to sit giving Giannis even more usage (if that's even possible). |
2 | Jayson Tatum | BOS | 4 | Tatum has stepped up big time this season but especially with Walker hurt. He takes command of the Celtics offense and will help grab boards. He's grabbed at least 11 in his last 2 games. |
3 | Kristaps Porzingis | DAL | 4 | Porzingis always see's more production when Doncic is hurt. We'll have to see if Doncic has to sit for another game because of his injured Thumb. No back to back this week for the Mavs. |
4 | Anthony Davis | LAL | 3 | INJ: Davis missed his last game with a sore Knee. The Lakers first game of the week is on Tuesday and we'll have to see if he can make it back to the court. |
5 | Kevin Love | CLE | 4 | Love is healthy as his Achilles pain has subsided and he'll continue getting fed at the arc a lot playing next to Drummond and he shouldn't be limited this week. |
6 | Julius Randle | NY | 4 | Randle will be the Knicks top scoring option for the rest of the season and we should expect him to play deep into games and pull down a good amount of boards. |
7 | Zion Williamson | NO | 4 | Williamson will continue playing heavy minutes and he's continued to stay healthy since making his regular-season debut. He'll provide a lot of inside scoring. |
8 | Danilo Gallinari | OKC | 4 | INJ: Gallinari missed his last game with what is being called a sore Ankle, and he should be able to make it back to the court for Tuesday's game. |
9 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 4 | INJ: Aldridge missed his last two games with a Shoulder injury and there's a chance he'll have to sit for his third straight game on Monday night. |
10 | John Collins | ATL | 3 | Collins will continue being the Hawks second scoring option and because the Hawks are dealing with a few big-man injuries, he'll continue seeing a lot of plays called for him in the post. |
11 | Aaron Gordon | ORL | 4 | Gordon has improved his rebounding since Jonathan Isaac went down with a Knee injury because he's forced to play in the post. Expect him to get a lot of shots for the rest of the way. |
12 | Pascal Siakam | TOR | 3 | Siakam will see the ball even more because Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka are still banged up. Even with VanVleet hurt, Siakam's usage will go up even higher. |
13 | Robert Covington | HOU | 4 | The Rockets don't have a lot of depth in the post and Covington will split time at the arc and in the post and he'll help with scoring, rebounding and especially with blocks. Expect heavy minutes. |
14 | Bojan Bogdanovic | UT | 4 | Bogdanovic will always get the shots, but he's another player that really just gives owners scoring consistently without helping in other areas enough. His rebounding is inconsistent. |
15 | Nemanja Bjelica | SAC | 4 | Marvin Bagley III and Richaun Holmes are still out and with Jabari Parker logging DNP's, Bjelica's minutes and shots are safe for now. Harrison Barnes and Harry Giles will be his biggest competition. |
16 | Myles Turner | IND | 4 | Turner has been more productive lately. It's hard to tell if he's more impactful in the post or at the arc. He's recoreded three straight 10-rebound games. He's blocked 14 shots in his last 3 games. |
17 | Carmelo Anthony | POR | 4 | Anthony will continue seeing more shots with Lillard still out and the Blazers lack depth until Zach Collins returns to action. Anthony will also help a bit with rebounding. |
18 | Paul George | LAC | 3 | George is playing full minutes again and we should expect him to not be restricted moving forward. He has been able to co-exist with Leonard. They play a very similar style of game. |
19 | Jae Crowder | MIA | 4 | Crowder's minutes are safe for now, but are his shots as safe? The good news for him is Meyers Leonard and Herro are out. He should hit the 30-minute mark a good amount while they're out. |
20 | Larry Nance Jr. | CLE | 4 | Nance could see more playing time with Tristan Thompson banged up. The Cavs have shown that they will limit Drummond's minutes at times and Nance can steal minutes at both PF and C. |
Center
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Andre Drummond | CLE | 4 | Drummond is once again healthy and prior to his last game, the Cavs hadn't given him 30 minutes in five games. Seeing him play 36 minutes on Saturday is very encouraging and Thompson is hurt. |
2 | Hassan Whiteside | POR | 4 | Whiteside doesn't have competition for minutes until/if Jusuf Nurkic returns to action and owners can expect him to continue playing heavier minutes than he did in Miami and help w/ points and boards. |
3 | Domantas Sabonis | IND | 4 | Sabonis is excellent at controlling the post and it's very hard boxing him out. Expect a ton of help with scoring, boards and steals and Oladipo won't impact his shots. |
4 | Nikola Vucevic | ORL | 4 | Vucevic remains the Magic's prioritized scorer and he'll play deep into games and will even get set up at the arc a decent amount. Expect a lot of scoring and rebounding. |
5 | Rudy Gobert | UT | 4 | Gobert has struggled a bit lately and it's hard to pinpoint what is causing these struggles. He hasn't recorded a double-digit rebounding game in his last four contests. |
6 | Bam Adebayo | MIA | 4 | Adebayo will not only help with scoring and rebounding, but he's also a very strong ball-handler and will provide help producing dimes as well. He'll be in the running for Most Improved Player this year. |
7 | Nikola Jokic | DEN | 3 | Jokic will also help run the offense and he'll bring up the ball a good amount or get fed at the arc. He should look to line up in the post a bit more with his size and it'll result in more boards. |
8 | Jonas Valanciunas | MEM | 4 | Valanciunas will need to play heavy minutes with both Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clarke out and he'll provide a lot of inside scoring as a top three option in Memphis. |
9 | Deandre Ayton | PHX | 3 | Ayton is fully healthy and he'll need to handle even more scoring with Oubre out. Expect him to be set up at the elbow a lot of mid-range jumpers and he'll help with boards and blocks. |
10 | Steven Adams | OKC | 4 | Adams has been playing better and if Gallinari has to sit again, more plays will be called for him in the post. Even with Gallo active, he's still made more of an impact over the last month. |
11 | Jarrett Allen | BKN | 4 | Allen will have up and down games and he'll continue splitting time with DeAndre Jordan . He's averaging nearly a double-double this season and he's blocking 1.4 shots per game. |
12 | Derrick Favors | NO | 4 | Favors won’t be centrally involved in the offense unless he's wide open on the low block the entire game, but he'll give the Pelicans second-chance scoring opportunities and he'll grab boards. |
13 | Davis Bertans | WSH | 4 | Bertans will help stretch the floor because of his long-range shooting ability and he'll continue to see more minutes as the Wizards continue to slowly raise Thomas Bryant 's minutes. Expect a lot of shots. |
14 | DeAndre Jordan | BKN | 4 | Jordan is in a major timeshare, but he's been able to help a good amount with boards and blocks lately and even though scoring doesn't come easy for him, he'll produce from under the rim. |
15 | Mitchell Robinson | NY | 4 | Robinson has to stay out of foul trouble and we'd like to think the lottery-bound Knicks will let him play more minutes regularly so he can continue to get reps. He's coming off of a good scoring week. |
16 | Brook Lopez | MIL | 4 | Lopez will see more shots if Middleton sits and Lopez won't help as much on the glass, but he will block shots and get set up at the arc a good amount while being given a true rotation commitment. |
17 | Daniel Theis | BOS | 4 | The Celtics have needed to rely on Theis a bit more and they have no problem holding Enes Kanter out. Robert Williams will impede on his minutes a little, but Theis rotation spot is safe. |
18 | P.J. Tucker | HOU | 4 | Tucker has improved his rebounding because he's forced to play in the post as the Rockets don't have many other options and he'll continue to produce more from the post for the rest of the way. |
19 | Montrezl Harrell | LAC | 3 | Harrell has been huge off the bench this season and he always finds a way to get in the post. He has grabbed double-digit rebounds in three of his last six games. He plays a bit over 28 minutes per game. |
20 | Thomas Bryant | WSH | 4 | Bryant has improved his scoring over his last couple of games, but he's still not being given 20 minutes since returning from injury. He hasn't been as helpful grabbing boards as well since returning. |
