Nice four game slate and what I like most about these smaller slates is the sites will price down some of the plays so you can actually make a lineup with some of the top guys and that means there is plenty of value to take a look at tonight so lets get into it!
DraftKings
James Ennis , SF/PF PHI ($3,700) – We have been talking about Ennis for a few slates now as we have seen his minutes increase since Josh Richardson went down with an injury. He has played 27 minutes off the bench in each of the last two games and his price tag has not moved. If he can get a few more of those three-pointers to fall he is in a plus match up tonight against the Wizards who are allowing the most points to opponents this season.
Josh Hart , SG/SF NO ($4,500) – So, I realize the Pelicans are getting healthier but Hart is still the team’s Sixth Man and therefore his role of minutes in the mid-20s to low 30’s depending on how the rotation flows is pretty secure. He is going to give you 10-to-12 points with about five rebounds and a steal or two at a minimum most nights and that will be plenty.
Kyle Lowry , PG TOR ($7,000) – Lowry returned to the Raptors lineup the other night after a lengthy absence and played 41 minutes out of the gate. His shooting was miserable as it was clear he had some rust to shake off but lets hope that run was enough to get him nice and ready for this plus spot against the Rockets who play no defense, especially to the opposing point guard position. This is a great price for a player that should be nearly $1,000 more when having it all going.
FanDuel
Cheick Diallo , PF PHO ($3,600) – We saw Diallo come off the bench against the Magic last night and play just 19 minutes but in those 19 minutes he scored 16 points with four rebounds and two steals. Here we have him at still just $3,600 and with a clear role off the bench in a great spot against the Pelicans which also puts the REVENGA GAME narrative in play as Diallo was on the Pelicans last season. If Frank Kaminsky doesn’t get off to the type of night he did against Orlando last night then we may see Diallo and Kaminsky in more of a time share at center and that certainly bodes well for this near min price play.
Troy Brown Jr. , SF WAS ($4,100) – Brown has had plenty of opportunities to produce and even with the Wizards lack of depth the other night he still only managed to see 21 minutes but the Wiz were dealt another injury blow with Jordan McRae undergoing surgery which should open up more minutes for Brown as the back-up SG and SF. Brown is a good rebounder and can provide defensive stats but his offense is very inconsistent. In GPP’s I will take chances with those type of players seeing as all it takes is a few of those shots to drop and he will crush his value given everything else he offers.
JJ Redick , SG NO ($4,900) – He has a very solid floor which will almost never dip below 22+ fantasy points and his role in the Pelicans starting lineup is also very secure. He contends for shots with Jrue Holiday and Brandon Ingram which can at times be limiting but his knockdown three-point shooting is needed and this is a great spot for him tonight against a better but still not great Suns team when it comes to perimeter defense. I think Reddick is a very safe play tonight and you need those strong floor players on these smaller slates.
