Ravens HC John Harbaugh said the knee injury Zay Flowers suffered last season did not require surgery.

Flowers was injured in Week 18 in a win over the Browns and subsequently missed the Ravens’ two playoff games. While the injury was enough to sideline him for multiple weeks, the Ravens’ WR1 was able to work his way back to health with offseason rehab and avoided surgery to correct the issue. Flowers is entering his third season as a pro and is coming off his first 1,000-yard campaign. He’ll face additional competition for targets with DeAndre Hopkins now in town, but Flowers should still be locked in for another 100-target season in 2025 if healthy.

Brett Baty will be recalled to replace the injured Jesse Winker on the Mets roster, SNY’s Andy Martino reports.

Apparently, that’ll be the case even though Baty has been out since Wednesday with a toe injury. As a result, he’s played in just three games since his Apr. 24 demotion, going 3-for-10 with two doubles.

Former All-Star right-hander Ross Stripling announced his retirement Monday.

Stripling went to his All-Star Game with the Dodgers in 2018, when he finished 8-6 with a 3.02 ERA and a 136/22 K/BB in 122 innings. He also excelled for the Blue Jays in 2022, going 10-4 with a 3.01 ERA, but he’d struggled mightily since, compiling a 2-16 record and a 5.68 ERA between 2023 with the Giants and last year with the A’s. That left him 40-54 with a 4.17 ERA overall.

Blue Jays transferred RHP Erik Swanson from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Swanson recently had a setback with his sore elbow, but an MRI failed to show any structural damage. He’ll be eligible to return during the final week of May, but it’s unclear if that’s realistic or not.

Twins activated 3B Royce Lewis from the 10-day injured list.

Ready or not, Lewis is back after going 4-for-23 with a double and a 6/0 K/BB in six games for Triple-A St. Paul. He’ll likely split time between third base and DH. Brooks Lee figures to play third when Lewis is DHing and second when Willi Castro is at one of his other positions.

Twins activated INF/OF Willi Castro from the 10-day injured list.

Castro started 18 of the Twins’ first 19 games before going down with a strained oblique, and though he wasn’t very good while hitting .227/.292/.364, he seems likely to remain a regular for now in light of Edouard Julien’s demotion. He should offer some value in deeper mixed leagues.
