NASCAR DFS Playbook Dixie Vodka 400 Tyler Reddick Looks To Capitalize on Speed
Published: Oct 22, 2022
What is considered to be the best intermediate track on the schedule, Homestead-Miami is the host venue this week. A pure oval, 1.5-mile track, this layout puts the racing in the drivers’ hands more than any other track on schedule. With multiple grooves of racing, tire wear, and generally low-caution racing it’s a perfect combination of action. The Dixie Vodka 400 is also the last intermediate race of the year and the second chance for a Round of 8 driver to clinch their way into the Championship race at Phoenix in two weeks.
Dixie Vodka 400 DFS Strategy
With 267 laps in the 400-mile race at Homestead this weekend, we’re approaching this like a typical mile-and-a-half race. Laps led and position differential will be absolutely key to winning lineups for Sunday’s DraftKings and FanDuel contests whether it be cash or GPPs. We’ve seen Homestead typically be a two dominator race in the last several trips to South Florida. However, most intermediate races this year have been a bit more split up in terms of dominators this year so building for either eventuality makes sense. We’ve also seen both at Miami and with the Next Gen car that green flag passing at this style of track has been fairly commonplace. Tracks like Vegas, Kansas, Darlington, and Auto Club are comparable and all put on great races with a lot of passing. One thing to keep in mind here is the tire wear issue might cause some tire-related crashes and a few more cautions than normal here. Speaking of cautions, over the last several races here have averaged just five cautions a race which includes two per race for stages. So in general, we’re building standard intermediate lineups focusing on two laps led dominators and drivers that can move up, however, we do want to get a bit weird in a build or two given we’ve seen drivers come out of nowhere to finish well or lead laps here.
