Spencer Steer Sleeper Fantasy MLB Pick: Less Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (1.57x)

I know, right? I talk about all this offensive potential and then lead off with a “Less” pick. But as much as I like Spencer Steer as a player, he is still in need of some time to get back into the true swing of things. Getting a cortisone shot in the shoulder following surgery is not a great thing and his struggles this year (1-for-15) are staring us right in the face. 

I know Nestor Cortes got bombed by the Yankees, but it’s a home start for him here and we know he’s actually a decent pitcher. Not sure how the rest of the Reds will fare against him, but I’m banking on Steer’s struggles to continue.  

 

 

 

Cedric Mullins Sleeper Fantasy MLB Pick: More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (1.58x)

OK, here you go. I said earlier that Tanner Houck is not a strong option right now and we’ll likely target against him until he gives us a legitimate reason not to. For now, it continues, and we’ll lean on the veteran lefty in Mullins. 

He’s batting .304 through the first six games with a double and a home run. He should be able to get on-base against Houck here and help continue to do some damage on the scoreboard.
