If our guy James Grande is reading this, look away now because we are about to talk about some BvP here for Soto in his matchup against Charlie Morton.

In 11 at bats, a small sample, Soto is 7-for-11 with three homers off of Morton in his career.

Lefties have had the slightly better splits against Morton this season, having hit four of his six allowed homers with an OPS of .746.

We know lefty power in Yankee Stadium plays and Soto is having a great first season with the Yankees.

 

Randy Vasquez Sleeper MLB Pick: More 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed

It certainly hasn’t been a great season for the Padres righty as he is 1-4 with a 5.70 ERA on the year. He’s actually been getting lucky if you can believe that because his xERA is 6.48.

He doesn’t miss any bats, owning a 5.91 K/9 and is giving up a lot of homers with a 17.9 HR/FB rate.

These are all bad numbers as he heads into a matchup against a Milwaukee Brewers offense that ranks 5th in wOBA, 12th in ISO and 3rd in batting average against right-handed pitching this season.

Vasquez really struggles against left-handed hitters and the Brewers can throw a very lefty heavy lineup at him in this matchup today.
