Cristian Javier Over 7.0 Strikeouts

Javier finished with 14 strikeouts against this same Angels team a few starts back and tonight that lineup is looking a whole less intimidating with Mike Trout on the sidelines after leaving last night's game due to back spasms. Javier is an elite strikeout pitcher that can occasionally get in his own way due to command issues. With that said Javier still boasts a 34% strikeout rate this season and has a K/9 of 12.3. The Angels have the highest strikeout rate and baseball and over the last two weeks, that number is a ridiculous 32.7%.

 

Luis Severino Over 6.5 Strikeouts

Rocking Sevy here against the Reds. Cinci has the second highest strikeout rate against RHP over the past two weeks at 26.6%. Overall this season they have the fifth highest strikeout rate against RHP at 24.2%. Severino has a 27.9% strikeout rate this season and a K/9 of 10.07. Now, Severino has failed to hit this total in each of his last two starts but he has gone over in seven of his last 10 overall.

 

Lucas Giolito Over 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed

No team strikes out less than the Cleveland Guardians this season against right-handed pitching and they also rank third in batting average and ninth in wOBA. Giolito is having a hell of a time right now, having allowed at least three earned runs in five of his last eight starts. On the year Giolito has a 5.05 ERA with an xERA of 4.55. Facing a contact team like Cleveland should give us plenty of chances to see runs scored off of him tonight.
