Best Odds For A Win

MLB DFS Lineups: Core MLB DFS Pitchers
Jack Flaherty, Los Angeles Dodgers
Highest strikeout upside on the slate with the largest win equity behind the Dodgers offense in this matchup against the Mariners here today.
Yes, he is the most expensive pitcher on the slate from an MLB DFS projections standpoint but well worth the price tag.
Ryan Pepiot, Tampa Bay Rays
Pepiot has looked great in both of his return starts. If there is one downside it has been the pitch limit which has seemingly been imposed at around 80 pitches.
Hope here is that the pitch count increases for this start, especially after we just saw Shane Baz shut down this A's lineup.
When it comes to strikeouts, this is also a spot where we could see Pepiot approach one of his higher totals this season.
Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Phillies
Nola has certainly been knocked around a bit and this Braves lineup, notably Austin Riley, had his number.
BUT with Austin Riley out of the lineup due to injury, Nola has good BvP history against the rest of this team.
Some good strikeout upside here as well for today's MLB DFS picks.
MLB DFS Lineup Picks: Hitters
Highest Expected Run Totals
MLB DFS Lineups: Core MLB DFS Hitters
Bobby Witt, SS Kansas City Royals
Picking on Cueto here with one of the best players on the entire slate's MLB DFS projections.
Witt is hitting .385 with an OPS of 1.247 over the last 10 games and Cueto had some struggles at the minor league level this season while ramping up to make his season debut.
Weston Wilson, OF Philadelphia Phillies
We like the Phillies righties here today against Max Fried who has really struggled since the All-Star break. Wilson himself has been on fire of late, hitting .435 with an OPS of 1.328 over the last 10 games with two homers and a stolen base.
MJ Melendez, OF Kansas City Royals
The cheap stack for MLB DFS picks with Witt right here. We've ridden the hot streaks with Melendez this season and right now he is on one of those streaks as he is hitting .310 with an OPS .815 over the last 10 games.
Leo Jimenez, 2B/SS Toronto Blue Jays
I was all set to plug Will Wagner in the lineup tonight but with him not playing we pivot to Leo Jimenez who has a .910 OPS and a .607 slugging percentage over the last 10 games. Yes, he has 12 strikeouts over 28 at bats and that isn't the best, but I love the power here at this cheap price tag.

Player News
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters that Zach Eflin (lat) is likely to return and start Sunday against the Angels
It was assumed that Eflin would be back this weekend, but now we have a concrete date. The 31-year-old may not be at full strength after throwing fewer than 60 pitches in his rehab start, but the Orioles feel confident enough to have the right-hander back on the bump for the series finale against the Angels.
Riley Greene is not in the lineup for the first game of a doubleheader against the Rockies on Thursday.
Greene will get a break and likely return to the lineup for the second game of the twin-billing. Zach McKinstry will get the start in left field while Greene rests.
Yu Darvish (elbow) is facing live hitters on Thursday.
Darvish has been throwing bullpen sessions and traveled to the team’s complex in Arizona to face live hitters on Thursday. It will be his first time facing live batters since a spring training appearance on March 13th. He will likely need a few sessions like this before the Padres can map out a rehab appearance timeline for him.
Adael Amador is starting at second base and batting ninth for the Rockies on Thursday.
Amador has now started three of the last four games at second base for the Rockies. He’s gone just 7-for-43 this season with 15 strikeouts in 16 games. He’s just 22 years old, so there is plenty of time for him to adjust to the MLB level, but he doesn’t need to be on redraft radars right now.
Jackson Holliday is playing second base and batting second for the Orioles on Thursday against the Twins.
With Cedric Mullins sitting out on Thursday, Gunnar Henderson will bat lead off, and Holliday will jump up from sixth in the order to second. Holliday is riding a hot streak right now, and the Orioles are taking advantage. This is likely just a one-game sample with no Mullins or Adley Rutschman in the lineup, but Rutschman has been struggling, so perhaps it could become a more permanent spot in the lineup for Holliday moving forward.
Endy Rodriguez (finger) had his splint removed this week.
Rodriguez suffered a lacerated right index finger on April 14th. Now that he is out of his splint, he “is playing catch and doing a slightly modified swing.” Once he can progress to taking full swings, we’ll have a better sense of the timeline for his return.
