Every NFL team playing Sunday is required to issue a final injury report on Friday. The pair of teams playing Monday night will issue their final report Saturday. Here we will review all of the fantasy-relevant players dealing with ailments and how to plan accordingly. Keep in mind, however, the inactive list isn't due until 90 minutes before kickoff. As you start to put the final touches on those lineups, have a fallback plan or two at the ready in the event you will be dealing with an ailing player.
Injuried Monday night players
Odell Beckham, WR, Giants – Hamstring
Rueben Randle, WR, Giants – Hamstring
Victor Cruz, WR, Giants – Calf
As of Friday, Randle had worked himself back to practicing in full while Beckham has remained out. Cruz has yet to be cleared and still looks several weeks away. If Beckham doesn't play, Shane Vereen will be peppered with targets and slot man Dwayne Harris becomes a legitimate PPR and GPP play in daily games.
Ryan Mathews, RB, Eagles – Groin
The concern here is that Mathews wasn't on the injury report until Friday. DeMarco Murray is coming off his most productive game of the season by far, but Mathews also scored and nearly totaled 100 yards of total offense. The Giants had been solid against the run all year until Carlos Hyde ran for 93 yards and a touchdown on Sunday night. Both Murray and Mathews, if active, are playable against the G-Men.
QUESTIONABLE (SUNDAY)
Andrew Luck, QB, Colts – Shoulder
Luck had a full practice on Friday, so one would think he's going to play against the Patriots in a rematch of last year's AFC title game. However, there were also strong hints that Luck would play the last two games and he did not. Keep this in mind for the Sunday night game. Plan accordingly and stayed tuned for updates.
Tyrod Taylor, QB, Bills – Knee
Earlier in the week it looked as though EJ Manuel was all but certain to make the start against the Bengals. Manuel has seen the majority of the reps in practice while Taylor tries to make a case for playing. Even if Taylor does get the nod, this matchup is far from ideal and his running ability will likely be compromised by the knee injury. Either way, a fully healthy Russell Wilson only managed 21 yards on three carries against the Bengals last week in addition to being sacked four times.
Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seahawks – Hamstring
Lynch is now practicing in full and is expected to play this week. The Panthers' defense did a good job of limiting the Seahawks' offense in their two meetings last year and kept Beast Mode from finding the end zone. Lynch got 14 carries in each of those games while rushing for 62 and 59 yards, respectively.
Justin Forsett, RB, Ravens – Ankle
Forsett was able to get into practice on Friday and will be a game-time decision against the 49ers. Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot) was placed on IR, so Buck Allen would figure to see a lot of action if Forsett can't go.
Dion Lewis, RB, Patriots – Abdomen
Lewis didn't show up on the injury report until Thursday. However, it doesn't sound like it's an issue that will keep him from missing Sunday night. It's not hard to imagine both of the Pats' running backs going off this week. LeGarrette Blount ran for 148 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries in last year's AFC title game.
Carlos Hyde, RB, 49ers – Foot
Hyde was rested on Wednesday and limited Thursday. He's fully expected to play against the Ravens. The bigger concern are the shots Hyde is taking in games because of his hyper-physical running style.
T.J. Yeldon, RB, Jaguars – Groin
As of Friday, Yeldon had not practiced all week. Despite being a game-time decision, head coach Gus Bradley sounded really optimistic that the rookie will be able to play. Denard Robinson (knee) is back after missing two games, however. Should Yeldon be inactive, Robinson is worth a roll of the dice against a bad Texans defense.
Isaiah Crowell, RB, Browns – Toe
Crowell should be able to play against a brutal Broncos defense. In addition to the rotten matchup, Duke Johnson is getting slightly more snaps as the superior option in the passing game.
Theo Riddick, RB, Lions – Groin
Riddick did not practice Friday and it's looking like a game-time decision. After catching 28 passes over the last four games, Riddick has been emerging as a sound PPR running back. Ameer Abdullah could see a lot more opportunities in the passing game facing the Bears.
Matt Jones, RB, Redskins – Toe
Even if he plays, there's no reason to play Jones on the road facing the stout Jets run defenders.
Joique Bell, RB, Lions – Ankle
Bilal Powell, RB, Jets – Groin
Demaryius Thomas, WR, Broncos – Neck
Thomas was limited in practice on Friday and expected to face the Browns.
Alshon Jeffery, WR, Bears – Hamstring
It's a good matchup against the Lions and Jeffery seems to be on track to play after missing four games. Eddie Royal (ankle) and Martellus Bennett (quad) are also banged up. Marquess Wilson has put up useful numbers each of the last two games and worth rolling out again if Jeffery or Royal are ruled out.
Sammy Watkins, WR, Bills – Calf
After missing two games, it looks like Watkins will return. However, the Bengals' defense is pretty good and we aren't sure yet who will be playing quarterback.
Steve Smith, WR, Ravens – Back
Smith is practicing on a limited basis, but is unlikely to face a generous 49ers secondary. Kamar Aiken could easily see double-digit targets with Justin Forsett (ankle) also banged up.
DeSean Jackson, WR, Redskins – Hamstring
D-Jax is a game-time decision against a formiable Jets secondary.
Davante Adams, WR, Packers – Ankle
Adams has been limited in practice all week and didn't sound very confident to reporters on Wednesday. The Chargers have been very stingy to opposing wide receivers and there's no way of knowing how many snaps Adams would end up seeing anyway.
Eddie Royal, WR, Bears – Ankle
Royal did not practice Wednesday prior to participating on a limited basis the rest of the week. He looks like a game-time decision against the Lions.
Percy Harvin, WR, Bills – Hip
Charles Johnson, WR, Vikings – Rib
Martellus Bennett, TE, Bears – Quad
Bennett was injured during Thursday's practice, which could put him in serious jeopardy of missing this week against the Lions. Have another tight end ready.
Vernon Davis, TE, 49ers – Knee
OUT
Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers – Knee
Roethlisberger is throwing balls in practice and making a speedy recovery.
Karlos Williams, RB, Bills – Concussion
Nate Washington, WR, Texans – Hamstring
Breshad Perriman, WR, Ravens – Knee
Jordan Reed, TE, Redskins – Concussion
Eric Ebron, TE, Lions – Knee
DOUBTFUL
Reggie Bush, RB, 49ers – Calf
Stevie Johnson, WR, Chargers – Hamstring
PROBABLE (limited practice)
Josh McCown, QB, Browns – Ankle
LeSean McCoy, RB, Bills – Hamstring
There were rumblings early in the week that McCoy might be able to play Sunday against the Bengals. That idea had quickly lost steam by Friday, however. Karlos Williams has already been ruled out and Boobie Dixon is dealing with a calf injury. That one isn't on the injury report because Dixon isn't missing practice time. Expect more Dan Herron this week.
T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts – Groin
Hilton showed up on the Thursday injury report, but seems fine.
John Brown, WR, Cardinals – Hamstring
Brown sat out Wednesday and was limited in practice the next two days. If Brown is limited against the Titans or misses the game, Michael Floyd becomes the primary deep threat.
Allen Hurns, WR, Jaguars – Ankle
After being rested on Wednesday, Hurns appears to be good to go against the Texans.
James Jones, WR, Packers – Hamstring
San Diego has limited wideouts thus far, but Jones is a touchdown maker and is playing at home.
Golden Tate, WR, Lions – Hip
Tate will play and Matthew Stafford has a great chance to rebound against the Bears.
Mike Wallace, WR, Vikings – Knee
A big game against a hapless Chiefs defense could generate a great sell-high window.
Cecil Shorts, WR, Texans – Shoulder
Brian Hoyer has been decent and the upcoming schedule is favorable.
Charles Clay, TE, Bills – Calf
Clay should play, although EJ Manuel could be under center.
PROBABLE (full practice)
Blake Bortles, QB, Jaguars – Shoulder
Arian Foster, RB, Texans – Groin
Chris Ivory, RB, Jets – Quadricep
Chris Thompson, RB, Redskins – Shoulder
Denard Robinson, RB, Jaguars – Knee
Sneaky streamer, GPP candidate if Yeldon can't go against the Texans.
Randall Cobb, WR, Packers – Shoulder
Eric Decker, WR, Jets – Knee
Pierre Garcon, WR, Redskins – Knee
Marvin Jones, WR, Bengals – Foot
Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs – Groin
Julius Thomas, TE, Jaguars – Hand
IR – Designated for return
Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys – Collarbone
David Cobb, RB, Titans – Calf
Should practice next week, can return in Week 9 against the Saints.
Jay Ajayi, RB, Dolphins – Ribs
Rashad Greene, WR, Jaguars – Thumb
Devin Hester, WR, Falcons – Toe
Physically unable to perform (PUP list)
Stevan Ridley, RB, Jets – Knee
Brandon LaFell, WR, Patriots – Foot
Expected back Week 7.
Kevin White, WR, Bears – Shin
Recently started running.
