Value Play: Yoenis Cespedes – Cespedes is in a great spot to produce only his third XBH and first homer since June 23rd tonight vs Clayton Richard. Richard has allowed 25 hits over his last two starts,
Value Play: Daniel Descalso – Descalso and Utley check in as great 2B value options tonight. Descalso is 8-13 off of Dickey, while Utley is 10-23 with a hr off of Colon. Both are priced outside of the top 20 second base options.
Value Play: Tyler Moore – Moore should receive the start for the Marlins vs the lefty Perez in Texas tonight. Moore has six homers and six doubles in just 84 AB’s this season, good for a .544 slugging percentage.
Pitchers
Play of the Day: Jacob deGrom – deGrom is 7-0 with a 1.51 ERA over his last seven starts, and pitches at Petco against the lowest projected scoring team in the Padres tonight. deGrom has a 31:3 K:BB ratio over his last 28. ? innings. Outside of two starts vs the Cardinals, deGrom has 25 K’s in 15 innings in other other two of his past four starts
Top Play: James Paxton – Paxton is 4-0 with a 2.05 ERA in four July starts with 25 K’s over his last 20 innings. Paxton is 1-0 with a 0.56 ERA in two career starts vs the Red Sox.
Pivot Play: Zack Greinke – Greinke checks in as the top priced pitcher on Y! Tonight, but is making just his second start over the last 17 days. He hasn’t had a double digit strikeout game since May 22nd, but has 53 K’s in 44 career innings vs the Braves.
GPP Play: Hyun-jin Ryu – Ryu and the Dodgers are the largest favorites tonight, but that could be due to Colon more than Ryu. Ryu last pitched on June 28th, and only went seven innings once so far this season. The Twins have one of the lowest projected run totals tonight, and the Dodgers had to use their bullpen more than they wished last night,
