Hitters .jpg)
Play of the Day: Charlie Blackmon-- Blackmon started this current home series with three hits, including going deep for the second straight game. Blackmon is on a 12-game hit streak, and batting .419 with four homers and two steals over his last 10 games. Both Bellinger and Blackmon are top OF options tonight.
Value Play: - Carlos Asuaje: You'll need to save salary if rostering Kershaw tonight. Asujae is the projected cheapest bat at Coors outside of Wolters, and he's coming off a three-hit game in which he didn’t strike out for the first time in 10 games.
Value Play: Adam Lind -- Lind makes for a cheap 1B option tonight if he's in the lineup for the Nats, who are playing with a DH spot tonight. Lind is batting .317 on the season and, is 4-6 with a home run since the All-Star break.
Value Play: Victor Caratini--Caratini should receive the start over Contreras for the Cubs tonight, and makes for a nice minimum price option at catcher. He was 0-9 after replacing Montero, but went 3-3 with two doubles in his last start before the All-Star break. Newcomb has allowed 11 earned runs over his last two starts.
Pitchers
Play of the Day: Clayton Kershaw- He is the top pitcher of the slate by a wide margin, and rostering him leaves you with just $15 per spot for the remaining roster spots. Kershaw is on a 10-game win streak, going 10-0 with a 1.98 ERA over his last 13 starts. He has held opponents to a .187 BAA, with a 115:19 K:BB ratio over that span.
Top Play: Robbie Ray-- Ray leads the league with a 1.34 road ERA this year, and is third in the N.L. with 141 strikeouts. He’s allowed six home runs over his last four starts, but also struck out 13 Dodgers before the break. Ray with Kershaw will leave you with only $10 per position player.
Top Play: Brad Peacock-- Peacock is the second-largest favorite of the slate, and has had great run-support with the Astros scoring 35 runs over his last two starts. Peacock has 62 Ks in 45 innings as a starter, going 4-0 with a 1.98 ERA over his last five starts.
GPP Play: Adam Conley- Although Senzatela is in play pitching against the Padres, Conley as the cheapest Y! Pitcher leaves you with $13 per player compared to the lesser options with Ray and Peacock. Conley is back for the Marlins after a May demotion, and is 2-1 with a 1.47 ERA over 30 innings vs. the Phillies over his career.
