The MLB Value Vault paid some serious dividends as both pitchers – Austin Gomber and Sean Manaea – turned in fantastic starts. Manaea even grabbed the win which is big on FanDuel as he was your only starter. We even hit pay-dirt with our cover-boy Stephen Piscotty who paid off immediately with a home run in his first at-bat. Everything else he did after that was gravy.

Let’s see if we can’t unearth a few extra gems for Friday’s 13-game slate.

Both Sites:

Corey Dickerson , OF MIA ($2,900 DK/$2,400 FD) – He’s just starting to heat up at the plate with hits in three of his last four and five of his last seven. We know the power is coming eventually and that could be tonight as Anthony DeSclafani is no stranger to the home run in his career. The two have done battle in the past and Dickerson has taken him deep twice on 12 at-bats. Great bargain price for a guy batting leadoff.

Jeimer Candelario , 3B DET ($3,800 DK/$2,900 FD) – I don’t love the price on DK as much as FD, but it’s still not awful, especially when you realize that he’s hit safely in six-straight games with two doubles, one home run and five RBI. Not your typical clean-up hitter, but the Tigers have been using him in RBI-producing spots and he’s facing a very hittable Frankie Montas .

Draft Kings:

Andrew Heaney , SP LAA ($6,800) – After getting rocked in his debut, Heaney turned around and dominated the Blue Jays in his next start, throwing six scoreless frames with nine punch-outs. While the Twins have hit lefties fairly well, they are also striking out 23-percent of the time and Heaney’s curveball, when he’s on, is first-rate. He’s priced down far enough to serve as your second starter on DK and not worry if he gives up a few runs. With the way the Halos are swinging the bats, he could easily grab this win.

Jacob Stallings , C PIT ($2,800) – The price is certainly right for paying down behind the plate and Stallings presents himself as a solid option for minimal cost. He’s slashing .3030/.452/.424 and you know the balls are bouncing his way, as evidenced by the inflated .435 BABIP. So ride the wave until it breaks, especially when that wave carries you against Adrian Houser .

Jonathan India, 2B CIN ($3,800) – He hit safely in six-straight games when the Reds opened up at home and then cooled off on this recent road trip with just two hits in five games. Well, guess who’s headed back to Great American Smallpark? Oh baby! It’s not a huge discount, but he’s posting a .401 wOBA against southpaws this season and faces Logan Allen tonight.

FanDuel:

Jeff Hoffman , SP CIN ($6,500) – Talk about needing to get out of Colorado. Even if his new home is one of the friendliest ballparks for hitters, Hoffman looks like a more confident pitcher on the mound and gets to face a Cleveland offense that not only has a putrid .257 team wOBA against righties, but they’re also striking out 28.6-percent of the time.

Tommy Edman , 3B STL ($2,900) – This guy’s on a 10-game hitting streak and slashing .333/.391/.476 but he’s under $3K on FanDuel? Why? I don’t get it. Because he doesn’t hit for a ton of power? Fine. Give me Edman, his hits and his runs scored and allow me to fit big boppers like Nelson Cruz and Aaron Judge into the rest of my lineup.

Akil Baddoo, OF DET ($3,400) – I know I said I would stop using him when FD priced him above $3K, but, prior to last night where he made his first start against a lefty (Manaea), he had hit safely in three-straight and averaged just over 20 FanDuel points in that span. If he can break 20 tonight against Frankie Montas tonight, he’s easily earning major value.
