Felix Jones, RB (DAL)--The Cowboys may be without DeMarco Murray in Week 7 after he suffered ligament damage in his left football in the team’s last game, which opens the door for Felix Jones to be relevant in fantasy once again. Jones had just three carries prior to the Cowboys Week 6 matchups against the Ravens, but when needed he came through in a big way. He finished Week 6 with 18 carries for 92 rushing yards and scored a touchdown averaging 5.1 yards per carry. There are other running backs that could see time if Murray is out, Philip Tanner and Lance Dunbar, but Jones has the playmaking ability that the Cowboys need if they want to stay in games. The Cowboys will be evaluating Murray’s availability on a week-by-week basis, so if you go after Jones and get him, be sure to follow the status of Murray before using him each week to ensure he will get the playing time needed to produce solid fantasy numbers. Daryl Richardson, RB (STL)--This is the second time this season that Daryl Richardson has made him way onto my weekly pickups column, but this should be his last. On Sunday, The Rams decided to increase Richardson’s workload even though starter Steven Jackson was fully healthy. He finished the week with 11 carries for 76 yards compared to Jackson’s 12 carries for 52 yards making him the most productive running back in the Ram’s backfield. Although he has yet to find the end zone this season that should all change if he continues to split the carries with Jackson. The Rams have restructured Jackson’s contract allowing him to walk as the end of the season, which means his role may increase even more as the team tries to rebuild, so with all that said Richardson is a must-add this week in all league formats.  Montario Hardesty, RB (CLE)--Although Montario Hardesty had zero carries prior to the Browns Week 6 win over the Bengals, he filled-in Trent Richardson during the game after he suffered a rib injury, and was very productive. He finished the game with 15 carries for 56 yards and found the end zone once giving him a solid game in limited duties. Richardson is listed as day-to-day with a rib cartilage injury and is expected to play this weekend as long as he can deal with the pain, so Hardesty may not get the chance to build off of his Week 6 breakout game, but he is still worth adding especially if you are a Richardson owner. Until we see how Richardson is after a few practices it is hard to tell if he will play or not, so be sure to monitor his status during the week, but if he doesn’t play Hardesty is a must-start against the Colts. Josh Gordon, WR (CLE)--Last week I decided to focus my attention on Jordan Norwood in my weekly pickups column, but after scoring him third touchdown in two games it is now Josh Gordon’s turn in the column. Gordon has now hauled in five receptions for 181 yards and three touchdowns over the Browns last two games making big plays for the team including a 62-yard touchdown and a 71-yard touchdown. He was heavily targeted in Week 5 but was only able finish with two receptions which were both touchdowns and targeted four times in Week 6 for three receptions, so there has been some inconsistencies which may make owners hesitant to use a waiver claim on him. His big playmaking ability is enough to make him a player to target this week and considering his matchup against the Colts, he is a player that can be quickly inserted into starting lineups once added.  Brandon Gibson, WR (STL)--The Rams will be without Danny Amendola for at least one more month, so quarterback Sam Bradford will be looking for a new go-to target, which is looking like Brandon Gibson. Gibson was targeted nine times in Week 6 hauling in seven receptions for 91 yards which lead the team in both categories. With a lack of playmakers in their receiving core, Gibson basically becomes the team’s No. 1 target in the passing game which gives enough reason to make him a target on the waiver-wire this week. Him teammate Chris Givens is also someone to take a look at, but in my opinion, he isn’t good enough just yet. The Rams are certainly moving in the right direction in both their pass and run games, and Gibson will be a factor moving forward, so if you are in need of a WR No. 3 he is your guy, especially in a PPR league. Joel Dreessen, TE (DEN)--A lot of attention has been given to the combination of Peyton Manning and Jacob Tamme, but Joel Dreessen has actually outperformed Tamme thus far this season. Dreessen had scored a touchdown in three straight games leading up to Week 6, but failed to find the end zone last night despite being heavily involved in the Broncos offense. He finished the week with six receptions for 57 yards on seven targets as he continues to earn the trust of Manning and the Broncos coaching staff. The Broncos are on a bye this week, but when they return they get a great matchup as he face off against the Saints which is a great play for Dreessen and the rest of the Broncos passing game. He isn’t a must-start as of yet, but if he continues to get a lot of targets he could become a solid fantasy tight end moving forward. Josh Freeman, QB (TB)--Although Josh Freeman has yet to live up to his expectations after being drafted in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft, he has shown signs of life the last few weeks. In his last two games Freeman has thrown for four touchdowns on 627 yards while throwing just two interceptions. The arrival of Vincent Jackson has certainly helped out Freeman’s fantasy production over their first five games and has now has connected with him four times, so as long as Jackson is on the field Freeman’s will only continue to get better week by week. With bye-weeks upon us, Freeman is a solid add if needed for spot starts over the next few games. His upcoming schedule is very favorable as he gets the Saints, Vikings and Raiders over the next three weeks. This week would be an ideal time to play Freeman, considering there are six teams on bye-weeks that have top fantasy quarterbacks, including Philip Rivers, Michael Vick, Peyton Manning and Matt Ryan. Blair Walsh, K (MIN)--The Vikings have been posting high scores this season and a lot of that has to do with the leg of Blair Walsh. He is coming off of a 4-for-4 game in the Vikings loss of the Redskins and is now the second-best kicker in terms of fantasy points. He will be kicking indoors six more times this season, which is always a plus, but he has been able to kick outdoors with the same accuracy so he is a player that can be trusted moving forward. The Vikings don’t go on their bye-week until Week 11, so he if you need a kicker for the next four weeks, Walsh is your guy. Matthew Beck is a Fantasy Sports Columnist for Rotoinfo.com.
