Week 6 Injury Report
Quarterbacks
E.J. Manuel (BUF)--After missing practice the entire week, the Bills have already ruled out Manuel for their Week 6 contest against the Bengals. The Bills expect Manuel to be out for 4-to-8 weeks with a knee injury, so he will have little fantasy value outside of dynasty leagues for the remainder of the season.
Blaine Gabbert (JAC)--After suffering a hamstring injury in the Jaguars Week5 loss to the Rams, Gabbert has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos. Gabbert has had a hard time staying healthy this season, but is expected to return to the starting lineup once healthy enough to return to the practice field.
Christian Ponder (MIN)--After being a limited participant in practice this week, the Vikings will likely list Ponder as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Ponder is dealing with a rib injury sustained in Week 3 and considering the rough start to the season, he will likely not be the starting quarterback, even if active.
Michael Vick (PHI)--After suffering a hamstring injury in last week's victory over the Giants, the Eagles have already ruled Vick out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. There is a chance Vick misses more than just Week 6, but for now his status is considered week-to-week.
Running Backs
C.J. Spiller (BUF)--The Bills expect to have their top running back on the field on Sunday despite being a limited participant in practice on Thursday. Reports out of Bills' practice indicate that Spiller's ankle is in better shape than it was last week as this time, so barring any setbacks he should be on the field for Week 6.
Arian Foster (TEX)-- Despite being a limited participant in practice on Thursday, the Texans will likely have their top running back in the backfield when they take on the Rams Sunday. Foster is dealing with both a thumb and chest injury, both of which appear to be minor, so fantasy owners should not look too much into his recent activity in practice.
Jamaal Charles (KC)--Although Charles was limited in practice on Thursday, the Chiefs will likely list him as probable once the team releases it's official injury report later on today. Charles has been bothered by a toe injury, but his limited activity in practice is said to be a precaution.
Brandon Bolden (NE)--The Patriots are uncertain if Bolden will be able to suit up for Sunday's game against the Saints after being a limited participant in practice this week. Bolden has been dealing with a knee injury, and was limited last week in practice and suited up on Sunday, so unless there is a setback, he should be on the field in three days.
Chris Ivory (NYJ)--The Jets will likely list Ivory as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers after he was a limited participant in practice on Thursday. Ivory has been dealing with a hamstring injury the last few weeks, but was able to suit up on Monday night, so there is a good chance he will be in the mix in Week 6.
Darren McFadden (OAK)--After missing last week's game with a hamstring injury, it is likely McFadden will be out once again in Week 6 to ensure he will be healthy for a return following a Week 7 bye week. McFadden has always had issues staying healthy, but at least this time the Raiders are trying not to rush him back onto the field.
Ryan Mathews (SD)--The Chargers will likely be without the services of Mathews on Sunday, after he suffered a concussion in last week's loss to the Raiders. Mathews will have to follow the league's concussion protocol before being cleared to play, so there is a good chance he will not be on the field come Sunday.
Wide Receivers
Larry Fitzgerald (ARI)--After being limited in practice this week, the Cardinals will likely list Fitzgerald as questionable for Sunday's game against the Niners. Fitzgerald has been bothered by a hamstring injury the last few weeks, but has been active, so expect him to suit up this week, baring any setbacks.
Marlon Brown (BAL)--After missing Week 5 with a hamstring injury, the Ravens expect to have Brown back in action on Sunday when they take on the Packers. There is definitely some risk involved in starting him this week coming off of injury, so be sure to temper expectations in his first game back.
Jacoby Jones (BAL)--The Ravens expected Jones to be out 4-6 weeks with a sprained MCL in his right knee, but he has been able to practice this week on a limited basis. There is an outside chance he will be active for Sunday's game, but as far as fantasy goes, you will want to take a wait-and-see approach with Jones.
Stevie Johnson (BUF)--After missing practice on Thursday, the Bills will likely list Johnson as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Johnson has been dealing with a back injury the last few weeks, but his absence from practice was not injury related, so fantasy owners will want to check back on his status following today's practice.
Miles Austin (DAL)--After being a full participant in practice on Thursday, it appears Austin will return to the Cowboys starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Redskins. Austin missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, and considering his history of hamstring injuries, there is a good chance this will resurface later in the season.
Calvin Johnson (DET)--After missing last week's game with a knee injury, Johnson will once again be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Browns. We have grown accustomed to seeing Johnson play through injuries, so the fact he was held out last week indicates his most recent injury is far worse than originally reported.
Andre Johnson (HOU)--The Texans will likely list Johnson as questionable when they release the official injury report on Friday after he did not practice on Thursday. Johnson is dealing with a minor shin injury sustained in Week 3, but it does not appear to be serious enough for him to miss any time.
Cecil Shorts (JAC)--The Jaguars will likely have their big playmaker on the field on Sunday, despite missing practice on Thursday with a groin injury. We saw the Jaguars take the same precautions a week ago and Shorts ended up suiting up, so expect much of the same once Sunday roles around.
Danny Amendola (NE)--After returning from a groin injury in Week 6, the Patriots will once again list Amendola as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints. He is likely going to play, but due to his limited participation in practice, the team will opt to leave the door open to make him a game-time decision, but expect him to be on the field like last week.
Santonio Holmes (NYJ)--The Jets are unsure if they will have Holmes on the field on Sunday after missing practice yet again on Thursday. Holmes is dealing with both a foot and hamstring injury so his availability for Sunday will be determined on whether or not he can deal with the pain, considering this is an ongoing injury.
Tight Ends
Greg Olsen (CAR)--After being a full participant in practice on Thursday, the Panthers will likely consider Olsen as probable for Sunday's game against the Vikings. His status will be cleared up once the team releases it's official injury report later on today, but everything looks good for him this week.
Rob Gronkowski (NE)--The Patriots will have a tough call to make regarding the status of Gronkowski for Week 6, after he remained limited in practice on Thursday. Gronkowski has yet to suit up for a game this season, but it appears this will be the week he will be active after much hype the last few weeks. Fantasy owners will want to have a backup plan in store in the event that the reports are false.
Kellen Winslow (NYJ)--The Jets were without Winslow on the practice field on Thursday, leaving his availability in question for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Winslow has been bothered by a knee injury, but suited up last week while suffering the same injury, so expect him to take the field in Week 6.
Fred Davis (WAS)--The Redskins remain optimistic that Davis will be able to return for Sunday's game against the Cowboys after suffering an ankle injury in Week 2. Davis has underachieved through the first few weeks of the season, but still has a chance to turn things around once he gets back on the field.
