Atlanta Braves
The Braves are looking to be one of the chalkier stacks on the slate, but they are in a fantastic spot, and you should want some exposure to them. They are facing off against Matt Harvey , who his flat out bad. No other way to put, simply just a bad pitcher. This is his stat line vs left-handed hitters, giving up a .386 wOBA, 2.30 HR/9, 42% fly ball rate, and a 41% hard contact rate. His numbers don’t get much better vs right-handed hitters, giving up a .307 wOBA, 1.22 HR/9, 31% fly ball rate, and a 36% hard contact rate. He can get hit by either type of hitter, so you should be able to target really anyone in the Braves lineup. Freddie Freeman might be one of the top overall plays on the slate and he has a .211 ISO. Ozzie Albies has a .203 ISO. If Kurt Suzuki gets the start behind the plate, he has a .198 ISO. Charlie Culberson is cheap and has a .177 ISO. Ender Inciarte has been leading off lately and has a .129 ISO. They are decently expensive, so you might have to mix and match the hitters, do a wraparound stack, or pay down at pitcher.
Colorado Rockies
The Rockies are dealing with a massive negative park shift being away from Coors Field, but I still like them tonight. They are going up against Derek Holland , who is really bad vs right-handed hitters. He is giving up a .361 wOBA to righties along with 1.64 HR/9 to RHB, a 43% fly ball rate and a 43% hard contact rate. This is clearly a bit of a riskier stack since this is truly a bad hitter’s park, but if the pitcher is this bad, then why not? It’s on the west coast which generally means lower ownership, which is always a positive in tournaments, so there is some upside here. The Rockies lineup is usually very right-handed heavy, which plays nicely into the area where Holland struggles. Nolan Arenado has a .444 ISO vs LHP. Trevor Story .309 ISO. Ian Desmond .256 ISO. DJ LeMahieu .252 ISO. Charlie Blackmon .162 ISO. Those are some big numbers, but their ownership should still be lower due to the park factor.
San Diego Padres
The Padres are facing off against Austin Bibens-Dirkx , who has a limited sample size this season but is still not a good pitcher. He has a .300 wOBA vs lefties and a .364 wOBA vs righties, and he can’t strike anyone out, with an 11% K% vs LHB and a 16% K% vs RHB. Nothing really going in his favor and a solid spot to attack him with the Padres. The best part about stacking this team is how cheap they are on FanDuel tonight. There most expensive hitter is Eric Hosmer at $2.9K. Yes, their most expensive player in under $3K, meaning the savings they bring will allow you to pair them off with another full stack, or get up to any of the high-end pitching options. They are a bit more expensive on DraftKings, but still nothing out of reach. Look for AJ Ellis .216 ISO. Wil Myers .205 ISO. Hunter Renfroe .192 ISO. Eric Hosmer .188 ISO. Cory Spangenberg .173 ISO. Christian Villanueva .172 ISO.
