I really lucked out today getting this slate. We have some great starting pitching on the board and some really bad pitching as well. This makes our decisions easier as we can eliminate some teams hitters right from the start. For instance, we have Clayton Kershaw facing the Colorado Rockies at home in Los Angeles. Simple algorithm here: Best Starting Pitcher in Baseball + Great Pitchers Park + Horrible Road Offense = Avoid Rockies Batters.

McCann gets the platoon advantage in a great hitters park facing Erasmo Ramirez who has allowed eight earned runs over his last nine innings pitched. Posey is batting .429 with one home run and seven RBI over the last seven days. Today he gets Keyvius Sampson who has allowed eight earned runs in his last 8 2/3 innings pitched. Arencibia has three home runs in the last seven days facing the aging CC Sabathia. Avila faces Tyler Duffey who left handed hitters are batting a whopping .373 off of this season for the minimum price on FanDuel. First Base
Miggy has a .356 batting average and .432 wOBA facing the horrible Tyler Duffey. Enough said. Agons price has dropped to the point where you cannot pass on him facing a horrible pitcher like Jon Gray. Belt has a .371 wOBA versus RHP facing the horrible K. Sampson. Mauer provides great salary relief facing Kyle Lobstein who has allowed 11 earned runs in his last 10 innings pitched. Second Base
Forsythe has a .998 OPS and .430 wOBA versus LHP and usually bats clean up. Today he gets CC Sabathia who just plain stinks. Pedroia bats near the top of the order and has a .341 wOBA versus RHP facing Kevin Gausman who has allowed four earned runs in has last 7 1/3 innings pitched. Brian Dozier leading off against Kyle "The Lobster" Lobstein. Bring it. Kipnis has slumped lately driving his price down around the industry. Leading off against Edison Volquez who as of late has surrendered eight earned runs in has last 10 innings is too easy. Third BaseThird base today is loaded with options. I believe these are the best when considering cost versus upside.
Wright has a 1.114 OPS and .480 wOBA versus LHP facing the young Justin Nicolino. I will put my money on the veteran. Longoria is notorious for crushing LHP. He has .437 wOBA and .365 batting average against southpaws. Turner is usually in a great line up spot facing Jon Gray who RHB are hitting a stunning .351 off of. Plouffe is red hot lately. He is batting .417 with two home runs in the last seven days. Today he dines on Lobster. Shortstop
Bogaerts is really just the man. You can take him everyday versus LHP or RHP. Plus he is still red hot batting .345 over the last seven days. Seager has lived up to all the hype so far. He has 1.263 OPS and .531 wOBA versus RHP. WOW! Semien is batting .323 with a .354 wOBA versus LHP. Today he faces John Danks who until recently was the unit in which we measure bad pitching by. Crawford is a little banged up and as a result is struggling. For the low price facing a horrible pitcher he is worth a flyer. Double dong upside on the cheap. Outfielders
Harper is batting .343 with a .690 SLG and 1.173 OPS versus RHP. He also has three home runs in the last week. You get you pay for sometimes. Mike Trouts price is down to $4100 on FanDuel and that is one hell of a bargain. He is due for a break out game. Betts has a .357 wOBA versus RHP and is batting .419 over the last seven days. I love me some Pollock. Both the fish and the Baseball player. He has a .368 wOBA and bats lead off versus Big "Lame" James Shields. Peralta bats clean up with a .394 wOBA and .909 OPS versus RHP. Arizona is a great hitters park and James Shields is not a great pitcher. Adam Jones price has fallen so low you cannot pass on him. Especially when facing LHP who he has a .367 wOBA against. Gose bats lead off against a pitcher who LHB are hitting .373 off of. Add in the .327 wOBA for a low price and its worth a try. As long as Mahtook keeps hitting in the two spot for cheap I will keep taking him. Oh, and he has a .416 wOBA versus LHP. Pederson is another guy with double dong upside for cheap. He also has picked things up batting .381 over the last seven days with one home run. Hunter facing Kyle Lobstein is a no brainer. He gets the platoon advantage and is batting .400 with one home run and five RBI over the last seven days. | 1 |
