If you read Saturday’s Hitting Coach, you will probably notice a lot of repeat names in Sunday’s edition. I don’t usually have more than three or four players in both my Saturday and Sunday hitting coaches, but it just so happened a lot of guys I liked yesterday are still swinging hot bats, and still have favorable matchups.

Unlike Saturday’s slates, which tended to be pretty top-heavy, especially at catcher, Sunday’s slate features a lot of mid-priced guys I like quite a bit. You can spend up pretty easily if you desire, but there aren’t many super-cheap options worth considering.

Albert Almora Jr. faces a tougher task against Pittsburgh rookie Jameson Taillon Sunday, but Almora is still very cheap, and he could even move to the top of the lineup with Dexter Fowler likely up.

Justin Upton is 5-for-15 against Chris Young and 10-for-23 over his eight-game hitting streak. Upton has homered in each of his last two games.

Carlos Gomez is 8-for-17 over his four-game hitting streak, and he has a .364 wOBA against left-handed pitchers.

Carlos Beltran continues to absolutely crush it lately, as he had three hits, including a home run, for the second straight game Saturday. Beltran is 3-for-7 with a home run against Ervin Santana.

Ian Desmond and Shin-Soo Choo have both done well against Mike Leake and are both swinging the bat well now. Choo is probably the better value, but Desmond could be worth paying up for if you can afford him.

Matt Kemp is 10-for-25 over the last week, and he has a 1.121 OPS against left-handed pitchers this season.

Michael Saunders is 5-for-13 with four home runs in his last three games and 5-for-14 with two home runs against Chris Tillman.

Jayson Werth has two hits in three consecutive games, and he is now batting .353/.452/.529 in June. Werth has a 1.166 OPS against left-handed pitchers this season.
