To spend on Clayton Kershaw or not is the question of the night. Kershaw was blown-up in his last start against the Diamondbacks in Arizona but the line-up he is facing tonight is missing most of those bats. The pitching is expensive if you go with either Kershaw, Corey Kluber or David Price so there are a ton of value options in the playbook. If you prefer lesser pitching options, I would go with Mat Latos (no Anthony Rizzo in the Cubs line-up tonight) or Julio Teheran against the Mets. The Mets line-up tonight is awful and appears Teheran has made it through his rough patch that he was dealing with a few starts back so he should be mow them down.
I included a ton of value plays at every position to help pay up for pitching if you choose too. Buster Posey was the only catcher worth anything tonight so play him or find the cheapest option out there with my choice being Jeff Mathis if in the lineup. My top value plays for tonight are Scooter Gennett, Adam Lind and Scott Van Slyke. They will be must haves if using Kershaw, Price and Kluber. There are more hitters listed than I normally like too but wanted give values at every position if possible.
Good Luck tonight hit me up in the comments section, on twitter @tedschuster or my e-mail at ted@fantasyalarm.com.
